1MOTIVATIONAL STATEMENT
The present day work environment is marked with an exceeding demand for people
who are well equipped with management skills. As the work force grows larger and wider, it
becomes essential for people to able to lead and manage such huge workforce in such a way
that the best results are achieved. Operations and Supply chain management is hence one of
the most important skills that is required to be able to maximize profits in any industry. My
selected course for study in the University of Liverpool is Masters of Science in Operations
and Supply chain management.
I am a person who loves to communicate with people and interact with them in a way
that people generate an instant liking for me. Msc in Operations and supply chain
management is a course that I always had wished to take up in my Masters because I believe
in working in groups and have lead various teams successfully in the past. Communication
skills are mandatory for being in the managerial sector of an industry and I believe that my
desire to communicate with more people and establish a relationship with them will enable
me to prosper in this stream of study. As I have worked in such teams and made sure that
everyone works in harmony by leading the entire team, I find that management is the perfect
course for me to take up as it will brighten up my skills furthermore. The suppliers are one of
the most important factors in a business and hence their relationships should be maintained
and deals have to be well made. Operations and Supply chain management is the most
suitable course for me as it will push me harder towards my dream career and enable me to
work with diverse people and learn from each one of them.
Management course will help me in various ways throughout my career and create a
wide range of opportunity for me. I believe that taking up such a course will enhance my
decision making skills and allow me to be a better leader in a team and create a better
relationship with the suppliers and hence earn sustainable resource for the organization I will
work for. The complex qualities that a person develops in the process of acquiring a

management course are the ones that pave the way for a successful career in this modern
work environment. The course will teach me the various diplomacies that a manager has to
undertake in order to make sure that the workforce is focused on production and that the
people in a team have harmony among themselves. With Msc degree from such an esteemed
University, the various international companies will look forward to have me on board. If I
can get into any such organization then with all the skills acquired during my course I can put
my best efforts and make sure that the organization moves in a positive direction. The degree
will make sure that I have a genuine decision making skill which make sure that all the
departments in the company work in tandem with each other and the maximum benefit is
achieved for the company.
I have had various kinds of experiences in the field in the last few years. I am
presently working in an organization that has employees from around the world and each one
of them enjoys being in my company and this has also majorly added to my communication
skills. The team in which I work has members who are much varied yet the entire team works
perfectly with each other and maintains a consistent level of performance throughout. I have
lead college and school sports team and have won various football tournaments which show
that my leadership qualities are commendable. I can lead team efficiently and make sure that
the operations are taken care of as well as the supplier relationship is well maintained. As the
programme is completely online, I believe that I can contribute by sharing my experiences of
communicating at various levels with people from diverse background. These experiences
will enable others in the class to understand the strength that is derived from a diverse
workforce and the advantages that a person can have with a confident attitude and good
professional communication skills.
Even if in the future I wish to change my career stream and move towards a different
stream, the management degree will always remain as an advantage to my skill set. The

management course imparts some of the most basic skills which are relevant in any industry
and hence can be utilized always. Career selection remains an obvious dilemma for most but I
have a clear idea that I wish to be a part of the Management sector as my passion lies in this
department. The aspect of supplier involvement in the business and making sure that the best
of the benefits are reaped from them are the challenges that probe me further in taking up
operations and supply chain management career. It will allow me dedicate myself to the work
completely rather than feel bored with a job which was never my passion. In order to deliver,
it is a must to enjoy the work at hand.
