Topic: Lack of access to medical assistance or health care in some parts of Australia
Australia is one of the countries that have the best health system in the world. However, it has
not been successful in reaching every part of its nation. Many parts in Australia, specifically the
area resided by aboriginal population are lacking access to medical assistance and healthcare. It
is certainly an essential matter of concern which requires extreme and immediate attention
(Glover 2017). Even though responsible organizations, government, and individuals are
addressing this issue, the issue requires extensive measures for eliminating the gap between
privileged and unprivileged people accessing medical assistance and health care. It is in many
ways the responsibility of the young population to address these issues and make their choice of
career in a way that would address these significant issues of society. Bachelor in commerce and
business administration is one of the degrees that have significant potential of contributing
towards the social issues that not only work common goods but also helps to human dignity.
A bachelor in commerce and business administration degree is designed to provide students with
a strong academic foundation in core business functions involving many aspects such as finance,
business administration, marketing, accounting, project management, information technology,
human resources, and organizational behavior. Firstly, the students of bachelor in commerce and
business administration have the opportunity of getting in various fields as mentioned above.
Therefore, they are likely to make changes in various departments of organizations using the key
features of the degree.
Equality has not been the problem when the policies are taken under consideration, however, it is
the equity of access for all Australian. Often the people lacking the access are the socially
backward people who fail to realize their basic human rights (Health direct Australia 2019). It is,

therefore, remains a problem that will require external help to make them understand their rights
and opportunities provided by the government. However, equity of access for all in Australia
remains a challenge for various reasons that are linked to other social issues such as inequality,
race challenges, poverty and many more (Rigney 2017). With the essential accounting and
reporting knowledge there is a wide scope for coming out with goal-oriented programs for the
issues that act as a hindrance to equity access. The degree holders working in the healthcare
organizations can certainly use their business-oriented skills in assurance and audit to find out
the budget that can be used by the organization towards the issue.
There are a number of people who find it difficult to access health services as mentioned for
various reasons. There are regions that are entirely isolated from the prime locations and resided
by specific groups with specific needs, such as people with chronic and complex health
conditions. These groups use health services less frequently than necessary (Denison, Varcoe and
Browne 2014). Limited access to healthcare impacts quality of life and leads to poorer health to
some of the groups. It is important to realize that it is not only the responsibility of the
individuals and organizations who specifically work towards these problems. People seem to
lack the basic idea about the death of the issue making them ignorant towards the problem f the
minority groups. The responsibility lies on every citizen and every human being. People with this
specific degree are aware of commercial law, economics, and financial management along with
information system and statistics which makes them expert in predicting the best ways that
would address the problems of aboriginals. Through statistics, they would be able to identify the
main areas of concern and the areas that are most focused. They get the opportunity to explore
the real-world experience, therefore, they become more accustomed to real-life problem solving.

They will be able to grasp the problems such as illiteracy, policy issues, and poverty that are the
main problems that make health unreachable for the minority groups (Grace and Cohen 2015).
The issues in regard to aboriginals are certainly a disheartening fact of Australia. Therefore, it is
a significant part of not only a bachelor of commerce and business administration but also every
profession to understand the way it may benefit society and be a source of the common good.
