Introduction
An organization is a cooperative group of individuals working together for achieving
certain purpose. Organizational behavior is a field of study of general management that
analyzes the behavioral pattern of individuals or groups within an organization or
organization itself to achieve a planned objective of the organization (Wood et al.).
The purpose of this report is to investigate the organizational behavior to achieve a
healthy working environment in a leading subscription based television station where over
thousand-employee work together.
Organizational Behavior Model
The organizational behavior can be divided into three levels, such as individual level,
group level and organizational level. These three levels consist together to form the basic
organizational behavior model. Organizational behavior examines the behavioral patterns of
individual at these three levels. This model caters all the factors of organizational behavior,
which in a way helps to improve the interrelationships and motivate employees in an
organization (Coccia).
Individual Level Analysis
The individual level analysis helps to examine the behavior and characteristics of the
employees in an organization, which include motivating factors for employees like payment,
overtime wages, medical facility, cost of transport, recognition, appreciation, job satisfaction
and its importance in the organization, such as performance and achieving targets and ability
to motivate others in the structure. The basic duty of employers is to provide the right kind of
motivation that helps the employees to enhance the production. Individual level of

organizational behavior focuses mainly on the factors of motivation as motivated workforce
increases the productivity in the organization (Miner). Other factors include perceptions of
the employees about the company, attitudes and values generated by the company to its
employees.
Group Level Analysis
In an organization, a group or team can be formed with two or more individuals
interacting with each other. The members of a group are interdependent for achieving a
particular objective. This level incorporates the nature or dynamism presented in a group,
decision and power role directed by the team leader and effective communication. The team
leader should emerge naturally within a workforce and he or she should be imposed on
nature, adapted a specific style of leadership and manner to exercise authority. Right kind of
leadership helps the groups within an organization to produce in a more effective manner
(Miner).
Organization Level Analysis
The organizational level of analysis in organizational behavior is the study of how
employees are structured in their working relationship and the organization communicate
with their external client. The organizational climate depends on the organizational or
hierarchical structure and power relation between the employees and managers. Less
managerial force with greater power gives result in a beneficial climate in the organization.
Apart from this, the changes and development happens in an organization for betterment is
another important factor to enhance the productivity and workforce (Vaccaro et al.).

Conclusion
Different levels of organizational behavior are important factors to change and
develop a healthy climate in an organization. However, with proper application of the
organizational behavior model a strong organizational climate could be created that helps in
development of the organization as well as individual within that organization.
