PART 1

Health literacy is a process in which basic health literacy is provided to the audience.
This help in different the things which are driving them towards ill health and severe
diseases. Australian Unity is a company is having differentiated level of strategy to
have overall delivering the culturally health care which is safe in Australia. There is an
old saying “Prevention is better than cure”.
There are various issues such as obesity, diabetes, blood pressure, etc which is
having targeted audience of the Australian Unity is the age group of 20 to 40 years’

numbers along with Body Mass index in which the age group will be calculated. In
addition to that the result will be added up to be shown towards audience. What is
cholesterol, nutrition, sugar level, fat, protein and importance of work out and yoga will
be provided which will play an important role in making the audience of Australia healthy
and happy. All these factors are common irrespective of culture.
Communication is a most important tool which is helping patients to speak better
about what is the disease from which they are suffering. Australian Unity uses advanced
translation facilities which addresses the exact issues faced by the patients. As per the
article written by the Becker's hospital which says, “the read mission of the patients in
the hospital can be avoided 25% if there is a better communication between the patients
and the service provider" .Patricios et.al., (2018) It is very much necessary to heal the
obsession issues which will result in satisfying mind as per the report published in the
age. The mind of the patients can be satisfied by knowing what the needs of the
patients are. The patients must be taken care with courtesy. If patients are asked or
enquired about the problem, they are facing in harsh and rude language then they will
be depressed and will feel uncomfortable answering the question and this will lead to
miscommunication between the patients and the doctors.
PART 2
RATIONALE
Importance of the effective communication in the environment which is culturally safe
and provisions.
Australia is becoming more diverse culturally it is necessary for the professionals to
effectively communicate to the patients in order to make sure that the place is culturally
safe. Culturally safe environment means an environment which is socially, emotionally,
physically and also spiritually safe Mazerolle et.al.,(2018). There is vast role of effective
communication in the culturally safe environment, which Australian Unity must follow by
hiring translator or any consultant in order to better understand the patients.
Provisions.
What are the cultural differences the hospital or healthcare organisations must know
and must made strategies which help them met the differences. Even these institutions

must be aware of own culture and what can be done better in the own culture in order to
make feel the other audience better.
Background of the culture is the best way to determine the sensitivity of the culture
which the organizations must know in order to find out what is better and what is not
good for the other culture. All these institutions of health must do analysis of the
population and then must design a program in which there is celebration of the culture.
Relationship between health literacy and effective communication.
Effective communication leads to communication which is patent centred which helps
the patients understand the impacts of treatment or operation, recommendation for any
medicine and any work out or yoga for the internal healing and prevention from any
disease.
There are various tools which are necessary in order to understand what are the level of
disease which may be sugar level, Blood pressure level etc Halm (2018). It will help the
patients understand what should be the appropriate level of sugar, also appropriate
level of blood pressure and this will make the patients aware about their health.
External influences.
There are various external influences such as social media, media and radio which are
used as effective tools for making aware the audience of Australia about the culturally
safe healthcare practices which can detract the young audiences by promoting the
health care products. The media can advertise products which are making the Locals
aware about the health of audiences. The media can show ads in which, patience’s of
different cultures who got well by the treatment in the hospital can be shown. The media
can be used to highlight the policies of the company towards the cultural practices. This
will also promote the targeted audience of the company which are young audience of
the age group 20 to 40 years Fleming, Creedy & West (2019) Social media can also be
used by giving the audience of different culture special consideration in which they are
allowed to take advantages of free treatment and this will lead to avoidance of any
partiality.
Improving health outcomes of the clients.
Racism and partiality factors will be reduced among the individuals of different culture if
the fair and equal access is given in education, treatment and other healthcare facilities.

For example, if the targeted clients are from French community then the healthcare
institutions should have French consultant who have better understanding of French
language and French culture so that the same can create theme for the culture and also
better understand the audience. Culturally safety activities if started by one organization
will also motivate the other organization to perform the same activities again. The health
outcome is if improved will motivate the customers to visit again if any bad situation
emergences. The same audience will also recommend to the other audience which will
help them get better treatment.
Barriers in the culturally safe healthcare.
The perception of the health care services depends upon person to person some
people think that the health care institute promotes wellness of the problems of the
patience’s which are of their community. Some believes that the healthcare will only
promote treatment of high-income category group and will ignore low income group this
gives promotion to partiality. In the rural areas it is sometimes very difficult to reach due
to long distance Erthal & Marques, (2018). People think that there will be higher charges
with the treatment of the disease in the city area this makes them go for the local
treatment (Gill, 2018). Special access is only provided to the local people at the
discounted rate and the same results in the emotional barrier. The other barriers are the
lack of knowledge among the people about how to take the advantage of how to avail
benefits of the free medicines or medicines at discounted rate.
Outcome.
All these barriers can be overcome by making a proper plan in which feedback must be
taken from those who are suffering with respective level of issues. In addition to that
same must be corrected accordingly. This will involve complete participation of the
public, government and the private organizations Gill (2018). If the culture of the
multicultural audiences is valued in the hospitals or healthcare institutions, then it will
result in better outcomes of the targeted clients. This is because of fair as well as equal
access will be available to all the individuals of Australia and which will result in lack of
partiality.

CONCLUSION
As per the study it is concluded that cultural respect plays a very important role in which
it is required to make assure to the audience that they will be treated well irrespective of
the culture variation. Effective communication plays a major role along with external
influences which may be media as well as social media. There are various barriers
which can hinder communication but if proper care is taken then it can result in effective
communication.
