Introduction
Trafficking of human organs has become one of the most debated topics in the world.
Although some people argue that that this trade should be legalized, research shows that majority
are against such legalization (Liu, 2018). Despite the stringent and fine-tuned jurisdictions, most
countries have not been able to curb this form of trade. Cases where children have been kidnaped
and murdered to ‘harvest’ their organs have been on the rise. As a result, millions of people have
been suffering, not because they cannot not afford such organs, but because molarity is against
organ trafficking.
The main Problem
When a failing body organ proves resistant to treatment, most patients adopt transplant.
Unfortunately, research has shown that the demand for these organs is higher than the supply. As
a result, many people have turned to illegal sale and trafficking which is against both the law and
morality. In fact, thousands of such sales take place in the black sales and purchases black
market. According to the World Health Organization, many people who have been involved in
this type of trade end up feeling desperate and demoralized. In addition, according a report that
was compiled by the World Health Organization, years later, most people who sell their organs
often suffer from the operations. Therefore, organ trafficking is a problem that need to be
addressed with an immediate effect.
Why the Problem Needs To Be Solved (Presence)
In most cases, medical journals do not report on the effects that are associated with
human organ trafficking. Although there has been very little data that has been analyzed in
regard to this problem, the fact is that organ transplant lead to chronic pain, long term social and

psychological consequences, and depression (Cherry, 2015). Besides, human organ trade has
contributed a lot to human trafficking, forced exile, buttering, and murder. Moreover, sale of
human organs has led to separation of families. This has been evident in countries such as
Kazakhstan, Brazil, Syria, and Ukraine.
Actions That Will Help Alleviate the Problem
It is evident that trafficking of human organs has a lot of negative effects, especially to
the sellers. Therefore, there is need to devise strategies which will ensure that Sale, Trade, Or
Donation of Human Organs, comes to an end. Deceased organ donation is one of the strategies
that can be used to minimize organ trafficking (Teacher et al., 2018). In this case, better systems
that will ensure that this objective is achieved should be developed. Besides, countries must
encourage altruistic donation of living organs (Reid, 2015). To minimize this trade, proper
mechanisms must also be put in place to treat diseases such as hepatitis and diabetes that have
been contributing to organ failures. Lastly, laws that prohibit organ trafficking and trading must
implemented.
Justification of the Solution
Every country is striving to stop illegal sale of human organs. Implementing the above
recommendations will ensure that this objective is achieved.
