Executive Summary
The given assessment is based on a case study which is provided and this case study is related to
a farmer named Ian Jones who wants to switch the field from mechanic to a farmer in order to
expand the family business that was previously owned by Ian’s grandfather as well as his father.
Ian needs to do the vegetation only by using organic manure and components and the name of
the firm which is already given in the brief is “Eat Organic Food” that suggests that only the
organic vegetation will be done and customer will be serviced by only organic food no artificial
manure will be used in the vegetation of the crops (Guimarães, et al., 2015). The business of Ian is
currently on a small scale and no other workers are available for Ian business, he used to take
orders one day earlier as he need time to pack the order and deliver to the customer due to lack of
employees the farmer got a hectic life which her wife was noticing and at last decided to help
him out in his business by taking orders on phone and help them in packaging and hoping that
the business can grow and burgeon on large scale. As the quality of the organic food was far
better than any other food and customer’s feedback were really satisfactory for the farmer so that
resulted in the high pay to the business and provided a great benefit by assuring the quality of
food to the customers.
Background Information
The Farmer needs to switch from the field of mechanic to farming in order to expand the family
business which was previously owned by the father and grandfather of the farmer. The farmer
will only use the organic manure and grow only organic food without altering and substituting
artificial manure in the crops. The farmer takes the order by phone and one day prior to the
delivery period so that he can gain some time to package the order, as this process became hectic
and the management of the business was not properly handled so he decided to use the
technology by using website or any application through which by using only one device he can
keep track of all the orders as well as can manage the finance of the business. So he took all the
business online which helped him throughout for managing his business. As by using website the
customer can online view the pictures of the available food and crops after registering to the
website (Zhang,et al., 2017). The management process for Ian can be easy as he can track all the
orders as well as can manage the payments and bills of the ordered food which can increase the
efficiency of the work. Mockups of the website can be designed before the implementation of the
website so that an overall view of the website can be seen and if any alterations needed they can
be performed easily on mockups. For expanding more, an application can be developed and
uploaded on the play store so that more customers can be added. The farmer will need a
developer of the website so that the website keeps running properly and if any errors or bugs are
found then the developer can fix them or can add more additional features into the website as the

progress of the business takes place. There are more employees that are needed in order to

Terry, and Tina are responsible to handle the machines and Tim is the manager of the machines.
For order and Gardening, Christina, Cathy, Charlie, and Chris are responsible; Accounts are
