Organic Food Delivery Application
Activity 1
This report will be about Eat Organic Food farm which is scaled at a small level and growing
very rapidly in their nearby areas. Ian is the one who started this farm in memory of his
grandfather which used to farm organic foods and vegetables in their backyard’s. After the
death of his grandfather, Ian started to take care of the backyard and started farming organic
foods in which food is being cropped without the help of any pesticides or any fertilizers
which are artificially prepared. This type of farming will provide natural food products to
their customers and increase the demands of customers in their nearby areas. For making this
business at high-level information technology will play a vital role to enrich their
organization and provide services to the customer(Habibi, F., Birgani, O., Koppelaar, H. and
Radenović, S., 2018).

Different factors/ areas which will be affected by the implementation of Information
Systems
The information system will help the organization to grow and expand their business and can
increase the reach of the organization using the information system. Various functionalities
can be implemented and new functionalities can be developed using the Information system.
Growing small scale Eat organic Food of Ian will help to provide good and healthy products
to more people around their areas. Ian has been using organic products to crop his foods and
vegetables and his wife will be helping him to deal with the customers and process the
queries and the requirements which have been asked by the customer. Various Factors which
are being affected after using an information system will be mentioned below(Mohammad, I.,
van den Broek, H., Boots, M.L. and Wong, R., Oracle International Corp, 2016):
Food requirement management:
An application which will be developed with following certain methodologies and techniques
of Information system will help to manage the requirements of food which is in stock or don’t
be in stock and will alert the organization earlier to add this material into their cart in the
future cart.
Taking the order of food:
By using Information system customers will not have to wait in a queue to order their product
at the farm. The application will have an interface which will provide an easy way to order
the food and in the organization perspective, an order which is being received will display the
quantity. After those further proceedings of food management and delivery will take place.
Marketing and sales of Organic procued Food Products:
Information system helps to improve and manage the marketing and sales of food products
which are used to grow the organization at high scale and it will improve the economic
growth of the organization as well.
Management of Different Accounts and distribution of salary:
With the help of Information system techniques and methodologies, application of
organization will have features which will take care of the management of accounts which
have been logged into the application and salary of the employees which have been working
into the organization will be taken care by the application which is based on information
system techniques.
Management of Employees:
By using the application management of employees will be done according to the
requirements of the organisation and application will take care of all management work.

Information Required
The proposed system for an organization will require some of the specifications which must
be fulfilled before implementation of the proposed system. Various requirements like
software, hardware and any other requirement which should be needed to run the system are
mentioned below:
To run an application it will require a hardware device which can support the
application. The application will be built on various operating system platform which
will provide more reliability and have more efficiency and can gather more customers
for the organization.
Internet would be mandatory for using application, many interfaces will be used for
organization. Website and application both will be developed to maximize the reach
of an organization and can expand their business on a high scale.
Software which is used for gathering data will also be required to maintain the
database in a separate server which can be used further.
Technical experts will be required in case of any maintenance required by an
organization at setting their information system.
Training should be provided to each employee of the system which is being installed
in an organization(Modarres, M., Kaminsky, M.P. and Krivtsov, V., 2016).

System Vision Document:
Problem Description:
Due to the heavy growth of the organization named Eat organic Food, there will not be a
balance between production and delivery of the food products which is being farmed in their
organization. Ian’s wife has to manage all clients or customer requirements and have some
staff under her but they all will not be able to manage all the queue of the customers after
some saturation point. Management of Food products could not be possible due to some
issues of production (Boardman, A.E., Greenberg, D.H., Vining, A.R. and Weimer, D.L.,
2017).
System Requirement:
A system which is being proposed to the organization will have to be more efficient than
employees who have been working in this organization. The proposed system will have
different accounts which can be login by a different type of stakeholders which can log in
into their account and can order or manage food according to the functionality of the account.
Food delivery will be made and orders have been taken online which will help to expand their
business with the help of emerging technologies. Various management techniques will be
used to provide a better and safe experience of a customer which will make it regular on this
website or application whatever they were using (Laudon, K.C., and Laudon, J.P., 2016).
Business Benefits:
A system which is being developed or application will be developed for an organization will
provide organization to grow not on their nearby area but also on the internet which will be
more impactful and helps organizations very well. In this application, various features like
salary management of an employee will be added which will be helpful to an organization by
not making an extra effort for the calculation of the salary of each employee.

Risk Analysis :
There are various challenges faced while completing this project. Risk analysis is performed
so that the project is completed without any problems. This helps to evaluate the risks present
in the project. While performing this analysis the problems can be resolved.
# Challenges/ Risks Impact How to overcome
these risks
1. The application is formed by
the complexity of the program.
Moderate Advance analyst
and programmer
are required so that
the code is
optimized and takes
less time to
execute.
2. The scarcity of experts and
employees
High New employees are
to be hired to
reduce the scarcity
of experts
3. Designs which are made aren’t
using the latest technology as
the experts haven’t updated the
knowledge.
Moderate Newly skilled
experts are to be
hired so that the
work can be done
using new
technology.
4. Problems within the
organization.
Low Proper interactions
should be done so
that team problems
are solved.
5. Management issues Moderate Project managers
are assigned to
manage the task
properly.
6. The prototype would contain
some errors
High Testing is
performed on a
regular basis.
7. Inappropriate requirement. High Employees are
provided with
training so chances
of error reduced.
8. Unavailability of funds. Moderate Investors are
needed to provide
funds to start the
project.
9. Implementation cost is high Medium The budget is

beforehand and

Cost Analysis:
For small scale business cost analysis are performed on beforehand so that various decisions
are made with different techniques so that the system is run smoothly and lasts longer. The
cost analysis gives an idea of the stability of the system. The decision is made by the project
manager. Different techniques are performed for cost analysis on which various results are
evaluated. These results are seen and changes are made accordingly in the projects.
Benefit-cost & Ratio model (BCR):
The benefit ratio is calculated on the basis of the ratio obtained by benefits from the project
and total cost used for the project.
Net Present Value (NPV) Model:
The net present values are calculated by taking out the difference between benefits from the
project and total cost used in the project. This is used to measure the present value and the
worth for that project.
By performing cost analysis different analysis are recorded such as details of investors which
are investing in the project and the benefits are recorded from the project. These would be
used in the future to evaluate the project.
Conclusion
In this report, an application will be built on organic food farm which is being run by Ian
after passing away from his grandfather. Organic food will have its own nature which will
provide more healthy products to the customer without using artificial fertilizers and
pesticides. Various techniques and methodologies will be developed and proposed to manage
and build the application which can be more secure and beneficial for an organization.
