Explain different kinds and purpose of the organization, private, public and voluntary
Organisations is considered as group of the people, such as an academy or foundation that
work together in order to achieve their multiple objectives and associated to external
environment. There are various type of the organisation, some of them formed for earning
profit for their owners but some organisation worked for the public purpose which is known
as a non profit organisation. There are mainly three kinds of the business organisation which
are mentioned here,
Private organisations- These sectors are operated by private individuals with the aim to earn
profit for company's shareholders. Purpose of private firms is to earn profit out of their
investment and employ more workforces (Dallasega, Rauch and Linder, 2018)
For example, a JD sport is a private company which is run with a purpose to make income
and profit.
Legal structure of private sector
Sole trader- Individual who is a sole trader offer a simplest legal stricture. There is
not need to register with the companies’ house. They have financial and legal
responsibility for its operations.
Partnership- It is legal relation relationship which is defined in partnership act 1890.
This act has set out basic structure of partnership law without substantive changes for
the over a century and there are not any essential formalities which are required for
creating a partnership (Queiroz and Wamba, 2019).
Public organisation- These sectors are owned and operated by government for people of
state. For these organisation, source of the funding raised through public tax and through the
financial transfer central government to he local government. Main purpose of this sector is to
utilize scare resource and provide service to society with maximising productivity at low cost.
England Cricket Board is an example of the public firm.
Legal structure of public sector
State government- In this, government does not interfere so much as only some
department are controlled by authority (Wong, et.al., 2020) .
Central government- National government control these type of companies and also
fund these firms through government's treasury collection
Voluntary organisation- These sectors are also known as non profit sectors, third
sectors and community sectors. These firms comprised of the organisation whose main
purpose is to benefits ad enrich the society, frequently without profit as a purpose and
with a little or without government intervention. Sports England is and example of the
voluntary organisation.
Legal structure of voluntary sector
Trust- This sector is formed with a purpose to make money and defining clear
aim. Therefore for these companies only trust are responsible.
Unincorporated dissociation- This sector does not have any separate legal
entity for small group with the membership because to is very easy to formed.
Explain size and scope of the different type of organisation
The organisational services, goods and priorities are particularly linked and related to
their composition, scope and scale. There are three types of theorganisation, public,
private and voluntary. In context of the JDsports, England Cricket Board and Sports
England, their size and scope are mentioned below:
Private company- JD sports
Background- It is a leading retailer of the fashionable branded, sports and the
casual wear, it was established by the John Wardle and David Makin in 1983.
Service- This firm mainly deal in footwear, accessories, apparels and
recreational product.
Size- This company employ approximately 54000 workers and share of JD
sports are traded on London Stock Exchange.
Stockholders- As it is a private company so its stockholders are its employees,
suppliers and player.
Mission- Deliver a long term suitability development to increase the total
shareholder returns (Stockdale and Coyne, 2018).
Vision- Its vision is to become most trusted organisation at global level

Relationship between the different function in organisation and how they link
to structure and objective of business
For purpose of the defining organisational functions and structure, JD sports is
selected. Structure of this organisation is very complex as there are mainly three levels
of the division of management and a hierarchy prevails in this organisation. There are
different forms of benefits of these interrelations among organisational functions along
with several disadvantages. A better international of business function are able to
satisfy to organisational goals more effectively.
An effective interrelation of functions communicates essential data that can be used by
the organisation to decision making propose (Krueger and et.al., 2021). In context of
JD sports, its perform several functions and all of them are interrelated with each other
which are mentioned below:
Public company- England Cricket Board
Background- This firm is a national governing body of the cricket in the Engalnd. It
wad established on 1st January, 1997.
Services- It connect the communities and also improve the confidential access to an
expert service that include well-being and counselling.
Size- People playing cricket ion the England has decreased by around 278600 in
2016.
Stockholders- As it is a public company so its stockholder are partners, player and the
board members.
Mission- It wants to inspire the country to choose the cricket.
Voluntary company- Sports England
Background- It was established in 1996 as executive non departmental public body
by the royal charter.
Size- This Company has more that around 8000 members and recognised by more
than around 250 employers.
Stockholder- As it is a voluntary company, then its stockholder are trust and staff.
Mission- To tackle the deep rooted inequalities and also unlock advantages of the
sports and other physical activity.

Finance- In organisation, this function deals with the corporate money, mange cash
outflow and inflows, reporting and then analysing them. An adequate financial is very
essential as other organisational functions require the financial support in order to
operate their activities effectively. Form them, finance department if like blood in
human's body. This function monitors progress of the budget absorption within all
departments. It also ensure that JD sports is making good profit, that require
information related to sales target by marketing department (Gabryelczyk and
Roztocki., 2018).
Marketing- This function of respective company is responsible to satisfy customer’s
requirements, creating the value and maintain a long term relationship. It ensures to
have capable employees to support and implement the market strategies and
programs. Marketing function of JD sports facilitate adequate inventory when it
needed by the customers and will be marketed. It set a right selling price that requires
information such as the production cost. Therefore, This function must work together
with the others function of business such as human resource management, finance,
operation and many more to become successful.
Human resource- In organisation, this function is considered as strategic for entire
enterprise. Other function in business, require carrying out their daily activities
individually. How goods are all these individuals? That's why the human resource
comes into play (Schwepker Jr., 2019) This department synergize with operation,
finance, and marketing department in order to ensure compliance with the labour
regulations such as workers safety and health laws. HRM handles the disciplinary
issues and worker's complaints across all the functions of business. Thus, all these
function of JD sports work together in order to perform better and systematically.
