INTRODUCTION
Organisational behaviour is the study of human behaviour and nature in a company.
Google is an American multinational technology internet industry's company. It offers excellent
internet based services and products in world wide. It was founded in September 4, 1998 by
Larry Page and Sergey Brin. This company's headquarter is in Amphitheatre Parkway,
California. This study will show about the importance of organisational culture, motivation and
communication as it helps the company in achieving their determined goals. There are various
theories of communication, motivation and cultural that supports manager of the company to
manage and operate in an effective manner. Questions that are being asked by managers and
employees of the company also help,them in analysing and knowing their views about
communication, motivation and organisational cultural as how they feel in the company. This
company use innovating organisational cultural for satisfying their employees and customers by
providing them satisfactory services. This report will also show about the importance of
motivation and how the organisational culture and model of the company help them in
motivating their employees towards achieving team goals.

The choose organisation for this assignment is Google, it is an American multinational
technology company that are known and specialized in providing internet related all types of
services and products.
Elements of culture:
There are some elements of culture that defines and including them such as: language,
religion, customs, attitudes, decision making styles, way of processing things and activities
towards the boundaries of the self.
Questions and answers:
In order to know about the views of each individual and employees about the company
and effectiveness of their management structure, it has been asked various questions regarding
each element of culture that includes:
How does the company make decisions or which management style they follow?

Answer: This question is being asked to employees and found about the leadership and
management style that the company use and follow for their decision making process. It has been
found that Google company use democratic style in which it involves all their employees and
collective decision are being made by them. All the members are being given opportunities to
give their suggestions in their decision making process.
Are there formal policies in the company?
Answer: As Google is an American multinational technology company so it uses formal policies
for their business and running them in an effective manner. It is important for them to follow
and implement formal policies only. This policies make them able to work effectively and
ethically. It also supports them in resolving all types of problem,s.
What happen if there is a complaint?
Answer: Employees gave answers that there is a hierarchical structure that the company follows
in order to manage employees and all the functions in an effective manner. Employees said that
if they have complaints then they have to go to their head of department and then they go at HR
department. At initial stage they need to solve that problem if they do not solve their problem
then they go to the top manager because they need to follow hierarchical structure of the
company.
How organisational culture impact on business achievement
Answer: Corporate Organisational culture is being followed by the company and the main aim
of following this culture is to motivate their employees with the main purpose of achieving their
goals. Kit has a positive impact on business achievement as it has various characteristics such as
openness, innovation, hands on approach, excellence that come with smartness. Employees said
that corporate culture of the company, motivate them to a great extent which lead to improved
and effective performance of them.
Summary:
From the primary data research and study it can be summarised that Google company use
and focus on corporate culture with the main aim of motivating employees. It can be said that it
uses the best culture and most of the people say that it should given the award of the best culture
because its organisational culture has various facilities and characteristics like it [rovides
flexibility to its employees, it also focus on making fun environment by which employee do not

So it can be said that there is no need to change organisational culture and to adopt something

Culture can be define as a social behaviour and a way of life of a particular group of
people that can be identified and determined by their language, cuisine, social habits etc.
Organisational culture also can be defined as underlying beliefs and ways of interacting with
each other that helps in creating a unique environment of an organisation. It plays an important
role in a company because it helps manager in controlling the way workers behave with people
inside as well as outside the company. There are various importance of organisational culture as
it defines the company's both external and internal identity. It supports and helps team members
to construct proper behaviour and attitudes in order to create a strong and healthy working
environment.
Motivation is the willingness to do all the activities and exert high level of efforts in order
to achieve personal as well as organisational goals. Motivation also plays an important role in
Google company. There are various skilled employees work and for retaining them within an
organisation, it is important for manager to motivate them. Motives provide an activating trust
towards achieving a goal. There are some approaches of motivation that Google company can
use for motivating their employees. By incentive programmes, by recognising employees by
manager in front of other employees by focusing and more investing in collaboration and team
working, by creating a healthy and fun working environment and by providing opportunities of
growth and promotion.
Communication is an exchange of informations, thoughts & ideas from one individual to
other. It can be defined as a process of meaningful interaction among individuals rights.
Effective communication can have a significant role in organisation's activities and performance
in a positive manner. With the help of effective communication models and way, manager and
employer of Goggle company can solve problems related to communication. Ineffective
communication creates various problems like interpersonal conflicts due to misunderstanding
etc. Communication can be done in the 3 forms and methods such as oral, written and with body
language. For resolving problems related communication, there is a importance for all employees
and employer to have this skill.

Motivation can be defined as a set of facts and a reason for people's actions and goals.
According to the theory of motivation that comprising of five tier of human needs. Maslow's
hierarchy of needs is being used to analyse how human intrinsically partake in behavioural
motivation. There are various types of motivational theory like Maslow's hierarchical theory,
motivation on the basis of goals, by incentives etc. Google company also believe that for
retaining their employees there is a requirement of implementing policies of equity and by giving
the equal opportunities and equal treatment they can better motivate them. According to the
McWilliams theory of motivation, Google company motivate their employee to the extent to
which their employees can lead to effective and good performance. They motivate them by
different ways to the extent to which they feel that employees can achieve organisational goals
by their performance. After competing tasks they are being also rewarded financially and non
financially by the manager of the company. It has been also found that, Google company and its
environment is flexible and the success of this company is the incredible perks & tehe
compensation.
Communication also play a vital role in an organisation as it is the act of transferring and
sharing informations with each other and from one place to another. There are various theories of
communication that can be adopted by the company. Some theories of communication includes
actor network theory, agenda setting theory, cognitive dissonance theory etc. Actor network
theory suggests that all resource whether it is human and non human both are responsible in
influencing the success of an organisation in this technological world. It also states and suggest
that no person is individually responsible for ineffective communication and misunderstanding.
An actor and a network both play a signification role in communication.
From books & journals it has been analysed and identified that Organisation culture helps
in motivating employees and improving engagement. It helps an organisation and manager in
finding the survival needs of their employees and then fulfilling them order to motivate them
towards achieving determined goals. It also finds security needs of employees, belonging needs,
importance needs and self actualization needs.
Google company' use Corporate culture in which it includes tradition and customs. The
main aim of corporate culture of Google is to motivate their employees for sharing informations

for the main purpose of supporting innovation. It also helps them in improving communication
and developing interpersonal relationship. It culture has various characteristics and it has been
said that Google deserve the best company culture award. Its culture have true flexibility, all the
employees have freedom to be creative, it also offers them a fun environment, it also has dog-
friendly workplace, it focuses on constant innovation . The main aim of using cultural theories is
to examine the subject matter in terms of cultural practices & their relation to power. It also
make them able to committed to an ethical evaluation of their business with their employees.
Theoretical model of culture
Cultural models can be defined as molar organisations of knowledge. Internal structure of
the company consists of a core component that are being filled by the default values. From the
secondary data and research it has been identified that there are mainly 4 types of organisational
culture and model of culture such as role culture, power culture, person culture & task culture.
All types of culture have some strengths and weaknesses that helps the company to take
competitive advantages. It also analyse its cultural weaknesses and then tries to remove all
weaknesses.
Ways of improving organisational effectiveness by culture
There are various ways of improving organisational effectiveness by culture such as by
making the best use of human resources, by investing in training and development programme
by using the latest and advanced technologies and by keeping the customers in mind all the time.
The main aim of Google company is to provide the best services and products and for achieving
this goal it is important to make a culture in which they give priority to employees and
customers.
Transparency: Having a culture that values a transparency lead a positive impact on the
business and also on businesses. There are some ways of making the environment and culture
transparent. On of the best way that the company can adopt for improving workplace culture is to
develop open communication channel for everyone in Google company.
Reward: The other main important key for improving organisational culture is to reward
and recognize employees in front of other employees and in public. It leads various benefits as it
motivates employees towards fulfilling the work and also increase organisational efficiency.
Collaboration: It is also a big key and method of improving the company's efficiency by
culture. The main aim of improving communication methods and investing in communication is

It has been analysed from the secondary research that culture influences employees
motivation within an organisation. Organisational culture determines the way of doing things.
The best results which can be seen by motivation is increased employees productivity, higher
innovation and reduced turnover and all these can be done when employees feel satisfied with
their job and performance. The main key of providing job satisfaction to employees is effective
organisational culture, as employees spent a lot of time within an organisation, so it is important
for a manger to provide and follow and provide the best culture in which all the norms and
beliefs are ethical and are favour in employees.
Importance and uses of culture of the company to enhance its success
Culture builds brand identity, as it puts the company's soul on display and helps in
increasing reputation because customers and people know that what is the brand of the company.
The more people know about the brand, the more it tends them to purchase more. The other
benefit of culture is it increases loyalty among employees. When company follows an effective
culture and norms which are ethical in the nature then employees enjoy to come in the office,
Google company give their employees a driving goal for what they do. It also helps them in
connecting their leadership team with their employees as well as with customers and also bind
them to share beliefs.
It has many others importance and characteristics as it attracts talent and retain them for
the long run. It is important for the company to attract skilled employees and retain them within a
company and culture is the first and foremost element that help them in achieving this goal.
Patrick Lencioni, founder of the table group has written that hiring employees without clear &
strict criteria for culture fit greatly hampers the potential for the success in the company. It take
great investment in recruiting and hiring process, So Google company focus in investing in
acquiring the right talent and also retail them by maintaining and developing an effective culture.
CONCLUSION
From the above study it has been concluded that communication, organisational culture
and motivation played a vital role in a company. All these elements are key tools and helped a

motivation and culture supported to company in describing and analysing all the needs and
demands of their employees and customers and then they took corrective decisions. It has shows
that different employee has different views and opinion and in order to get the views of their,
employees are being asked different questions related elements of culture. With the help of
culture, manager also improved their effectiveness by using different ways and also told the
importance of culture of the company in order to enhance its success.
