Response to Question 1: Different views of a movie
The film that I watched recently was ‘The theory of Everything’, a movie based on
the life of Stephen William Hawking. The movie revolved around the life story of a famous
Theoretical physicist, Stephen Hawking and his struggles in life. The story reflects his
determination and love for discovery, which stimulated the energy of fighting with
impossibilities of medical treatments and science. The motor neuron disease did not restricted
him for concept of singularity. The movie reflected a strong level of support and
understanding from his wife Jane. The movie stressed on his relationship with his wife and
her trust on his research work and persistency. He discovered motor neuron disease at the age
of 21 but did not quit his ongoing research on the study of time. The movie portrayed the
efforts of breaking odds in field of science and medicine by learning how to survive with
available resources and technological support.
The reason behind disliking the movie by one of my colleagues can be the difference
in opinion, interests and beliefs. My colleague watched the movie with the motive of learning
the origin of singularity. The perception of my colleague with the movie was that it was
purely based on the scientific theories leading to the introduction of the concept of
singularity. My colleague was intrigued with the background and discoveries of Stephen
Hawking in the field of Physics. However, the movie did not satisfy his interest and
educational learnings as it was more focussed on the struggles in life and the support of his
wife in every phase of life and discoveries. His expectation and perception was based on his
educational interests and background of Physics, which was not accomplished with the
lessons portrayed in the movie, being determined in life, unconditional love and eliminating
restrictions from society.

2ORGANISATIONAL BEHAVOIUR
The security staff of Airport has major responsibilities for ensuring the safety and
security of passengers travelling through air transport. The motivational strategies that can
ensure the job satisfaction and attentiveness of the security staff in airport are as follows:
Constructing milestones and checklists- A base with checklists and milestones will
present structured guidelines for developing efficiency in each step of security check.
Associating compensation with performance incentives- Compensation can be utilized
as a means of motivation for the employees. Performance incentives for security check
effectiveness can majorly motivate the day-to-day work involvement (Demirkol and
Nalla 2017).
Constructing complete plan for standard procedures- Standard procedures can help the
security staff in executing their role with confidence and without error, therefore
enhancing the motivation on performance level.
Communicating the purpose- Communicating the purpose of inducing safety and
security may stimulate the sense of accountability by motivating their attentive
execution (McCrie 2015).
Allowing conversation with customers- Understanding the potential issue and concerns
of the other side of service can motivate them to work efficiently as it develops the
understanding regarding the whole operational outcome.
Involving security staff in project pricing and budgeting- Involving the security staff of
Airport in structuring budget will generate the awareness regarding the importance of
safety and security and the significance of positive outcome from their efficient
performance (Prentice and Kadan 2019).
Communicating the significance of their role: The management of airport should
communicate the importance of their attentiveness and efficiency by instilling respect
among other organizational roles (Li et al. 2018).

3ORGANISATIONAL BEHAVOIUR
Incorporating non-monetary benefits- Flexible scheduling, time off, Leave Travel
Concession are few of the non-monetary benefits that can motivate security staff of
airport (Baeriswyl, Krause and Schwaninger 2016).
Educational programs and training- Conducting training by assessing the gap between
goals and employee understanding can motivate the security staff (Martin 2018).
Assessing concerns- Understanding the concerns of the security staff and allocating
required resources for efficient work will motivate employees, as it reflects importance
of the job role.
