Reflection
After completing a module which is concerned with organisational behaviour, I
analysed that organisational behaviour is becoming very important in now these days because
it assists an organisation to understand and analyse the behaviour of employee and team
members. With the analysis of their behaviour, I found that organisation is able to take more
effective decision as compared to before understanding of employees' behaviour. This is the
reason that I found organisational behaviour is very important for every kind of organisation
whether it is a retail organisation, IT organisation, etc. In the case of Google Ltd. the culture
is found to be diversified as they have many employees who are belongs to different nations.
I found that culture influenced behaviour of team and individual as culture is made up of
employees’ beliefs, customers, values, etc. that’s why it influenced on their behaviour and
performances. I also found that google Ltd. Includes large number of employees and that's
why they are facing problems of cultural differences but still they are trying to give training
and motivations so that every person is ready to work in the diversified culture. In this
assessment, I got to know many important theories and models which I didn't know before
this assessment. I gained many insights which are very helpful for me in order to take future
decisions.
I found that motivational theories are very helpful for an organisation as it enables a
company to motivate and encourage people towards their goals and objectives. In the case of
the case of Google Ltd, I found that they are using both methods in order to motivate their
employees. I also identified that company understand the needs and wants of employees and
then decide that which employees needs which type of motivation. I analysed that the success
reason of Google Ltd. is their motivation factors which influenced on each individual. Their
success level inspired each and every person. In addition to this, I also identified that Google
Ltd. use examples of successful leaders in order to motivate each individual which helps
them to inspire from their successful work. It is just not encouraging but also integrating an
individual goal with organisational goal. That means it makes a common goal which every
employee needs to accomplish with their performances and productivity (Mostafa and Shen,
2019). There are some important theories which I found in this assessment are process and
content theory of motivation. Maslow's hierarchy of needs has five important stages in which
an employee is going through in their life. I found that it is very important for an organisation
to understand the needs and wants of employee so that they satisfy them as it assist in

motivating employees towards company's goals. I also got to know that if organisation is
work with team then they can effectively achieve their goals and objectives. The reason
behind them is team productivity and performance is always greater than individual
productivity and performance (Shah, Anwar and Irani, 2017). This is the reason which I
found to be very important is company should promote effective team. I learnt that it can be
possible then they are using team development theory such as Tuckman development theory
and Belbin theory. These theories are used by organisation in order to develop and effective
team after understanding of each behaviour and motivate people that they should work with
each other in order to achieve a common goal. I identified that Tuckman development theory
is very helpful to increase the effectiveness of a team which helps them to achieve the goals
and objectives in an organisation. There are many situations occur in the organisation where
the required the teamwork in order to deal with the challenges and problems. This is the
reason which I found that company needs to use team development theories which support
development it off organisation. I also learned that concepts and philosophies of
organisational behaviour are very crucial for a company as it assists organisation to achieve
their goals and objectives. In the difficult situation of business environment, company can use
these organisational behaviour theories and philosophies in order to improve the productivity
and performances.
