Topic1- Introduction to the Field of Organizational Behavior
Learning
The main aspects that have been learnt is regarding the performance and behavior of
different employees in workplace along with developing the aspects which can be motivating
employees to perform well. I have analyzed that the nature of the work is changing to a large
extent such as inclusion of gig economy is in trend in the current scenario. Additionally, there are
different contemporary challenges faced by companies such as increased workplace diversity and
technological changes which are impacting performance of the companies to a certain extent.
In such scenario, the companies and employees need to become adaptive to such
scenarios and it helps in generating positive outcomes. Furthermore, the CSR and sustainability
are the other new trends which are needed to be followed by companies as the customers prefer
sustainability and it helps companies yield better revenues in the future as well. With the
different models of OB such as Integrative Model which mainly focuses on how the employees
gain knowledge and use for making accurate judgments on job.
Critique
From the analysis of the study of Organizational Behavior, the main aspects which I
found is that study of OB helps in developing the proper understanding of aspects that increases
performance of employees, motivates employees and establish strong and trusting relationship
among employees and employers. It is the multidisciplinary approach wherein it applies various
techniques and theories for evaluating performances. Lastly, the other main element that has

been learnt is that it is capable of bringing sense of coordination which is essence of the
management.
Moreover, the different concepts which have been learnt include diversity in the
workplace which have few positive and negative aspects. The benefits which will be achieved
include improvement in decision-making and discovery of the new business opportunities. On
contrary, negatives include lack of innovation and lack in the process of decision-making. The
integrative models of OB have different pros and cons as well that includes the fact that it mainly
focuses on the individual outcomes of the organization’s effectiveness. However, it does not
consider the organization as a whole which can be impacting performance of the company
negatively.
Reflection
In the current workplace wherein I am employed, different concepts of OB are followed
wherein there is high level of cultural diversity which makes the team perform efficiently. The
different employees are capable in bringing their own specific skills which are diverse in nature
and it makes the work highly efficient in nature as well. Furthermore, the company is highly
capable of being highly sustainable and efficient as there are different CSR activities followed
such as reduction in the usage of plastic bags or reducing pollution and empowering the
employees regarding the same aspects systematically.
The respective learning of Organizational Behavior can be used in the future in an
efficient manner, for instance- while opening a new business venture, the first and foremost thing
which is needed to be kept in mind is CSR practices and business ethics as these will be making
the business highly sustainable which is the current trend. Moreover, the other important aspect

which can be of high importance in future is High Performance Work Practices wherein the
involvement of the employees is the key factor which needs to be implemented for the
management of the growth of the company and individual employees as well.
Topic 2- Individual Behavior, Personality, Values and Perceptions
Learning
From the respective topic, the different types of individual behaviors have been learnt
with the help of the different kinds of models and Big Five Personality Dimensions. MARS
model seeks in explaining individual behavior as result of external and internal factors acting in
the particular manner. The MARS stand for motivation, ability, role perceptions along with
situational factors which plays vital role in improving effectiveness.
I have further learnt the fact that motivation is key element that is needed for improving
the individual performance and making them believe that they have the capability in performing
much better. Through the individual behavior, it is capable for understanding the study of
turnover, performance and evaluation of the task along with cognition which are needed to
perform the task in an efficient manner. Every individual works in different manner, and
therefore, it is highly efficient to have a system which will be suitable for all the employees
working in the company that can be making them feel that they are worthy of achieving success.
Critique
The respective topic of the study is highly relevant in the current scenario as I feel that in
the present scenario of the competitive business environment, the millennial prefer to work as
per their own terms and conditions. They do not prefer to be judged by their supervisors as they

prefer to be guided. In such situation, the motivation is the key element which is needed to be
implemented by the companies for making their employees feel happy and satisfied and it will be
appropriate for achieving goals successfully. Every individual is unique based on their
knowledge and experiences and they should be valued.
Moreover, the MARS Model is one of the significant aspects which can be used in the
companies as it is particularly designed for individual motivation and abilities. The role
perceptions are being designed efficiently as every member in the group is clear regarding the
tasks which are being allocated to them such as marketing manager will be dealing with
promoting a new product and making it famous. On the other hand, Schwartz’s values
circumplex is the aspect that talks regarding distinct motivational values and dynamic
relationships amongst them which are required for generating high efficiency in the work
performance.
Reflection
The respective topic is highly significant in my workplace as the management knows that
every individual have their own capability which needs to be respected. There is high level of
motivation wherein the basic needs of everyone are highly met which makes the employees feel
that they are being able to perform efficiently without much problems. In addition, I felt the topic
will be capable for the future circumstances as well wherein Five Factor Model and Work
Performance can be used for judging the different personalities of employees and making them
feel that they are effective in nature. It can be capable of judging the true personalities of human
beings and they can be assigned to the respective domain jobs appropriately as well.
