INTRODUCTION
A gathering of a group of individuals from a society for achieving organizational goals and
set targets for a business entity. They co-operate and co-ordinate by serving with their capabilities
and skills in a positive manner to attain the assigned roles and tasks. Organizational behaviour is a
part of human attributes which includes his nature in a working environment and impacts of the
same on his performance, job structure, communication, motivation leadership etc. The concept is
focused on both group and individuals behaviour and their performances in the concerned
organization (Pal and Dasgupta, 2012). The present scenario is analysed and focused on the study
which is carried out on CAPCO which is a global business and technology consultancy firm. The
objectives of the report evaluates the different organizational structure and culture and also the
impacts of the same on the performance of the business. Further the effectiveness of different
leadership styles is explained for different organizations.
TASK 1
1.1
Organisations are formed to achieve different kind of objectives and goals, and the structure
of that corporate plays a vital role in attaining that aims and ends. The companies can opt any of the
organisational structure as per their work culture. As per the given scenario CAPCO is a entity
which is operating its business services in financial sector. In this corporation there are a large
number of employees working with it. There are various kinds of organisational structures which
can be opt in the corporates. These are mentioned as under:
Functional Structure: In it each level of the company is grouped according to its objective
and purpose. In this there can be various departments such as marketing department, sales
department and production department. Thus it can be comfortable for the entities to work
by diving the work in the functional departments (Fischer and Mansell, 2009).
Divisional Structure: This kind of structure is used in a wide geographical area where the
business operations are being carried in a large scale. In it the entities work on a particular
level. This can be assist able for the employees as all the tasks can be completed on a level
and the managers are assigned the duties as per their specification and role.
Centralized Structure: In it all the decisions are take by the higher authorities and they are
only the persons who are liable tom take the major decisions in a company. So it is not
advisable to opt this kind of organisational structure (Parikh., 2010). As it does not promote
the employees and working members because the decisions are not taken with the
unanimous consent.
Document Page
Decentralized Structure: In it all the decisions are taken with a unanimous consent and this
cab be beneficial for the management and the company as the employees will be invited to
give their suggestions on a particular subject matter. Thus they can feel motivated in this
kind of structure.
CAPCO is a UK Based financial service provider company which can opt a decentralized
and Divisional organisational structure. As there are large number of employees are working with it
so if the entity is opting this structure then the decisions can be taken in more smoother way
(Buchanan and Huczynski, 2014). On the hand Banker's Clearing House is also a financial service
provider company and has various divisional offices so the entity can opt decentralized structure but
it can also use the centralized form because some times there are various issues which can be sort
out only at the higher level so this entity can use the centralised approach.
Similarity between both the entities is that they both are carrying the business operations in
financial sectors and it is very important for them to opt the most effective professional services.
Thus to opt the particular kind of organisational structure depends upon the sacle and working level
of the company.
1.2
For any industry it is really important to upgrade it performance everyday. The better work
performance shall smooth en the work of the industry as well as the capability of its employee. And
for such great and skilful performance it it necessary to build a good structure and culture in the
industry. A company always stand on the shoulder of many people that is it result of many
employers of the company that the entity rise and working of such employee comes under the
structural function (Lavelle, 2010). For the better draft it is really important that while discussing
any thing regarding any matter, to take opinion of each employee. CAPCO which is a finance
company sets a great example for the perfect structure and culture. The company has perfect plan
and process in which all the employees work. While discussing any issue or implementing any new
changes in the company they preferred a plan where opinion of every single employee has to be
taken besides that there are proper meetings to be organised by the company in which each member
of the CAPCO takes part. This structure involves participation of every employee and new ideas are
always welcomed. The performance of any company can only be graced when new ideas and issues
are arise. CAPCO is a company which works on decentralised structure where the right of vote to
any issue has been given to each employee. Company always look for performance chart of the
employee and seek for the suggestions which brush up the capability of employee
Therefore, for any company it is really important to follow certain structure and culture. By

doing that the company works in a particular form without any failure (Buchanan and Huczynski,
2014). And the performance of the employee and the company increases that is why CAPCO
presents as a perfect example for proper functioning of structure and culture because a perfect
structure increase the quality of work.
1.3
Manager and leader plays important role in influencing the behaviour of individual at
workplace. It is the responsibility of leader to set a direction of team members. It has been seen at
many places that the people who have joined the work with full of zeal are not willing to work
because of the bossy nature of their team leaders so it became really important for the company to
hire good team members and guides (Mustafa, 2013). Behaviour of individual in any industry is the
major factor for its growth that is why all the members shall have good and decent behaviour. The
leaders shall not act in a bossy manner. Besides that the concerned person have skilful knowledge
about the work he is assigned so that in case of any assistance to the subordinate the one should not
face any failure. Being a leader in a company the one should make feel the other important. For
CAPCO or any other organisation it is necessary that there shall be work responsibilities between
the employees.
The working members should do their work in a given stipulated time with skilful objects.
In an industry like CAPCO the effective communication is a need. A good communication between
the employees able the employers to understand the idea clearly (Bolino and et.al., 2013). A good
communication skill holds up command on language which is equally important. One of the
foremost behaviour of the individual is to maintain the relation in the office. It is necessary for the
office workers to maintain a good and healthy relation with the co- workers. To makes friends is
equally important which will help the individual in tough time. Not allowing the co workers to
interact between each other able to build up stress and tension between the co workers. Hence, for
CAPICO or any organisation it is really important to maintain an individual behaviour in order to
achieve a peaceful working environment in the company.
TASK 2
2.1
Leadership is a great term which can be used in the organisations and can lead it towards the
path of the success. CAPCO is a large entity and have a large number of employees working with it
so it is essential for the company to have a leadership style so that it can operate business functions
in more smoother way. In below mentioned way the role of different kind of leadership and its
Document Page
impact on the company is described as under:
Autocratic: In this kind of leadership style all the decisions are being taken by a higher
authority. This is a ineffective approach of the leadership as in it the leaders are not
experience and they do not take the suggestions from their followers so the decisions are not
taken in a effective manner this can lead the entity in a negative direction. So it is not
advisable for CAPCO to opt this kind of leadership style (Bissell and Gravin 2012).
Bureaucratic: These kinds of leader rely on the principles and terminologies to meet the
organisational goals. Thus they do not convince the followers and rely on a stated policy
mentioned by the staff. The basic danger of these kinds of leaders is that they so not
motivate their subordinates and this can be very harmful for the company as a leader must
motivate its staff by providing a good advise to them.
Democratic: it is advisable to lead in a group rather than on a individual level. This is the
most effective style which can be used in CAPCO. In this the decisions are taken with a
unanimous consent. By this the creativity and innovation can be invited in the employees
(Fischer and Mansell, 2009).
Transformational: It is the style which depends on the high level of communication. In it the
leaders motivate the employees through a high level of communication and interaction
policies.
Transactional: In it the managers provide certain rewards or punishment to the members as
per their working results. In the goals are set first and then a commuted effort made to
achieve those goals by the managers and employees.
Thus in above mentioned way the impact of different leadership styles have been described.
2.2
CAPCO is a financial service provider and has a large number of workers working with it.
So it is essential for the company t opt some organisational theories so that a balance between the
functions can be made. In below mentioned way some most important theories which can be opt by
the entity are described as under:
Scientific Management Theory: In this the functions are operated by using some
mathematical, scientific and engineering concepts (WeiBo, Kaur and Jun, 2010). The reason of
opting this concept is to reduce the waste and to increase the efficiency of the staff members. Thus
this goal can serve the common motive of the employees. This theory can be helpful in managing
the tasks with most quicker and efficient manner. Technology is emerging day by day so it is very
Document Page
important for CAPCO to opt those tools in its organisation so that the work can be done at a right
time and with accuracy. It reduces the risk of repetition and new technologies can be adopted in the
company by using this concept.
Human Relation Theory: this theory explains that the individual are having different
motivational levels and values (Somers, 2009). They have distinct and dynamic psychologies and
group behaviour. Thus in this approach the focus is based on the workers so that their nature and
inspirational level can be identified and approached accordingly. Employees are the key factors for
the organisation and the success of the company rely on them so it is very important for CAPCO to
understand the desires and needs of them. Thus this theory pay attention on the motivation and
development of the working members so that the ultimate goal of the corporation can be achieved
easily.
Thus in above mentioned way two theories of organizational explained and described in the
context of CAPCO.
2.3
Management approaches are used by CAPCO as the company has to achieve its targets on
time. In below mentioned way the management approaches are describe as under:
Delegating Approach: In this the tasks are to be assigned to the workers at different levels.
Thus the duties are assigned to every person as per their specification and eligibility. By this
the tasks can be completed n time and it will be great for the corporation to complete the
works in a perfect manner. Employee management is a great tool as in it the workers are
assigned the responsibilities and duties as per their specification. It is an ideal approach
which brings the quality in work and high control on the error (Lavelle, 2010).
Enabling Approach: CAPCO can use this approach to carry its business activities in a more
smoother way. Stress on work place is not good for the employees and organisation, so a
freedom should be provided to the workers so that they enable to achieve their goals and
targets at time. By increasing the productivity of the working members they can better
perform their duties and this can lead them to become a successful corporate person.
Setting Goals and Scheduling Approach: In it the management of the corporation determines
the goals and then assigns the duties to its working members (Mustafa, 2013). By doing this
the work and tasks can be completed on time and this can be fruitful for CAPCO also. This
is a systematic approach in it firstly the targets are set and then proper resources are availed
to approach those pre decided targets. Thus it can be easy for the organisation to schedule
and set the targets and ten assigned the duties to the employees as per their eligibilities.

Thus in above mentioned way the most suitable approaches of management are explained
and defined. CAPCO can use any of term to manage the operations in a more smoother way.
TASK 3
3.1
Motivation is a basic tool which is essential in workplace so that the targeted goals can be
achieved and this can be helpful for the employees also. Workers are considered the most important
factor for the company and their motivation is very important for the development of the
organisation. In below mentioned way impact of different kinds of leadership style on the
motivation is explained as under:
Autocratic: It can be least effective as per the perspective of motivation. In this kind of
leadership style the employees do not get motivated at a sooner stage. As it is the approach
in which the decisions are taken on individual level and no involvement of the workers is
there while taking the prime decisions for the company (Fischer and Mansell, 2009).
Bureaucratic: In this kind of leadership style the mentor rely on the policies and do not
make an effort so they do not take more initiative of the new human resources. Bankers
Clearing House is the financial service providers and presently providing its services in UK.
The corporation has to take various decision for the development of the company and thus
its is essential for it to have a proper leadership style which can be motivational for its
working members. But Bureaucratic is not effective for it as this does not focus on
motivational level of the employees.
Democratic: It is the most effective approach which can be used in Bankers Clearing House.
In it the decisions are taken unanimously by taking the consent of the employees and this
can increase the motivational level of them. So it is has a great impact on increasing the
inspirational level of the workers (Jain, 2012).
Transformational: It is that term which can be helpful in increasing the motivation level of
the workers as in it a proper communication is being conducted among the staff members so
they can feel more motivated by opting this leadership style.
Transactional: It is least effective as per the perspective of motivation, as in it the leaders do
not try their best to increase the inspirational level of the workers.
3.2
Maslow's Motivational Theory: He stated that very one has its own needs and they can be
Document Page
motivated by satisfying their requirements. He divided the needs as per the priority level as at first
he explained about biological and psychological needs in it he stated that the prime need of the
individual is of air, drink, shelter, warmth and sleep (Bolino and et.al., 2013). So at first these needs
are to be satisfied. After it he described safety needs, in it protection and security of the employees
can be considered. Love needs are also defined by him, as these are the most effective satisfactory
and motivation tool for workers. After this Esteem needs were defined it means that the workers at
work place operates their functions and they have the desire tom maintain their prestige. Self
actualization need denotes the self-fulfilment of oneself, by this the workers can complete their
requirements and can feel motivated. Thus Maslow described that the needs of the workers can be
identified and then management of the organisation can satisfy their requirements by this they can
feel motivated and will be able to perform the tasks in more effective way.
Hezberg's motivational theory stated that in order to feel the employees motivated it is
important to know that what are the factors by which the workers feel satisfied or dissatisfied. Thus
he explained that the satisfaction level of the employees can be different and by identifying those
levels the management can inspire them, thus he focused on two factors of motivation such as
satisfaction and dissatisfaction level of the workers in a particular organisation (Buchanan and
Huczynski, 2014). His theory is known as two factors theory also. Further he stated that the
company can conduct the interview of the members so that both the levels can b identified and
acknowledged accordingly.
Thus Maslow and Hezberg both have different views on the motivation patterns of the
employees.
3.3
It is very important for the management of Banker's Clearing House to motivate the
employees, as this can increase their potential of working and they can be able to perform the tasks
in the situation of the conflict also (Knud and Christian, 2014). Thus the role of motivation is very
high and plays a vital role in making workers more efficient. Banker's Clearing House is a financial
service provider and it has a large number of employees working with it so the corporation has to
opt the theories of the motivation so that they can feel more comfortable. The motivation can be
provided in a monetary and non monetary way. As far as monetary element is concerned the
workers can be inspired by providing bonus, salary increments and incentives. This can be a great
opportunity for them to feel more motivated. In it the monetary benefits can be provide to the
workers if they are working in a good manner so there should be an opportunity for them to avail
the monetary benefits this can lead them to work on a more concentrated way.
Document Page
In the non-monetary term the employees can be motivated by providing some extra facilities
to them and by appreciating them before a management staff. Thus the management can appreciate
the working of the employees if they are working in a accurate manner by this their learning level
can also be increased (Avey, Luthans and Youssef, 2010). Workers are considered the most
ingredient part for the company so their satisfaction is more important for the management of the
entity, and this satisfaction can be brought by motivating them in a monetary or non monetary way.
Thus it is very important for the organisation to satisfy the needs of the working members so that
they can provide the services in more effective way and this can lead the entity to get the success
and growth.
TASK 4
4.1
In the business it is very important to be social with one another. CAPCO is a financial
service provider company and there is a large number of em[employees are working in it. SO it is
advisable for the corporation to promote the workers so that they can work in a team and this can be
beneficial for them and for the organisation also Bissell and Gravin, 2012). The management of the
staff is liable to make the groups among the employees. There are two kinds of groups formal and
informal. Informal teams are made outside the work area and the formal groups are made in a work
area. So a professional group is that which is made in a company, and it is helpful to create these
groups so that the tasks can be completed in a more effective way. Thus the groups are made by the
individuals and the members of the group are liable for making it more creative.
If the tasks will be performed in a team then they can be completed with more effectiveness
and the chances of errors will be less. Group members are to follow a norm and a relationship is
made among them. Group behaviour is depend upon the situation and the nature of the team
members. In it the factors which can be considered are the conflicts among the members and
decision making powers of them (Mustafa, 2013). There are some groups which are made for work
roles, as in these kinds of groups the members are assigned some tasks as per their specialisation
and they have to complete that task at time. Along with this there are social groups these are made
for doing the social activities, it is very important for the working members to be social with each
other in a group by this the performance can be increased and they will be liable to work in more
effective way. By this the company can attain it ultimate goal and can develop itself in the industry.
4.2
Team work is the key of the success of the managerial functions. In below mentioned way

the factors which are liable to effect the team work are mentioned as under:
Communication: It is the most important tool by which the team work can be promoted. By
making a proper interaction the employees can feel more motivated and the conflicts can be
solved easily. Thus a regular interaction should be there in team so that the followers can

followers can get to know about each other. A good leader is liable to make the healthy
relations among the team members. Thus it is also a great aspect for promotion of the team
work (Bissell and Gravin 2012).
Diversity: It is obvious that in a team the followers can be from different backgrounds and
cultures. So it is essential for them to contribute each other so that they can work at a
common platform and can work together. This can lead them to achieve their targets and
goals.
4.3
Technology is emerging day by day, so it is the need and demand of the time to work with
the latest trends. CAPCO is a financial service provider company and it is essential for it to the
latest trend and work with the updates. Internet is a great tool which can be opt for implementing
the latest technologies in business (Buchanan and Huczynski, 2014). It enables the workers from
different backgrounds to work on a same platform. By using emails, instant messaging, video
conferencing and phone all the tasks can be performed in more effective way. In present time the
communication can be done at any place any time between the employees and this is because of
technology. It has made everything easier. CAPCO can use the technology in its business
operations by opting the internet and cellular services in its organisation. The conflicts among
members can be sort out on phone and this take very less time. The quality of the team can be
checked and increased by using project management software system. Thus the role of technology
