INTRODUCTION
Organisation behaviour is define as a study of interacting peoples within a group. It is
based on human behaviour with a motive to maximise outcomes from team groups. The purpose
of this is to solve problems by using designs structure and culture. This report is based on AM
holdings Ltd. which is incorporated in 2007 as containers and packaging products. It serves
confectionery, dairy and multimedia. The purpose of this assignment is leading with individual
and group performances in culture, politics and powers. I is a content of motivational theories
and concepts for achieving goals and objectives. The working teams of AM holdings is in
support with developing theories in dynamic corporation by influencing their behaviour. In an
organisational context it is their in evaluating individual behaviour in positive and negative
manner.

Organizational Culture
It is the study of people interacting in social and psychological environment of an
organization. Culture of an organization includes the environment to work which affects the
performance of individuals and teams. To understand the culture of an organization here Handy's
typology is taken into consideration which shows how different cultures affect the performance
of employees. Theories of organizational culture are discussed here:
Power Culture:
In this culture, power is divided among a few individuals who are responsible for all
decision making in organization. In decision making process no feedback is required by the other
employees of the organization. If this culture is followed in AM holdings ltd, the power of few
individuals helps in making quick decision. Apart from that, this culture also increase
bureaucracy in the organization.
Role Culture:
In this type of culture, Roles and responsibilities are assigned to specific employees and

culture helps in increasing the understanding between employees. Apart from that, this culture

productivity of an individual and team. Power comes from the hierarchy of the company in
which the superior person affects the employee's performance. This affect implements negative
impact on employee's behaviour. Power of a person also makes him proudly, over confident and

Legitimate Power:
This power comes in a person who is having position in the organization. This positional
power comes from the hierarchy of the organization which decreases the productivity and

Now a days it is most important for every organisation to motivate the employees to perform
effectively. There are some motivation theories and techniques are used by the AM Holdings
Ltd. to motivate the employee's are as follows:
Content Theories:
Content theories are the earliest motivational theories which have the great impact on the
practice and policy of management. These are also known as need theories because they
determine the needs of the employees and what motivate them. It helps HR manager of AM
Holdings Ltd. to motivate the employees so that they achieve the goals. The company apply the
Maslow's Theory of content theories to motivate their employee's. These theories are as follows:
Maslow's Hierarchy of needs
This theory of motivation was developed by the American psychologist known as
Abraham Maslow. The theory explain that there are five level which shows the hierarchy of
needs and it progress from lower to higher order needs. Maslows Hierarchy of needs theory help
AM Holdings Ltd. to get best among their employees. The five levels are sub categorised in two:
Deficiency Needs
These are the basic needs which is needed for the security and survival. These needs are
as follows: Physiological needs:
Physiological needs are the important for sustainability of life. These includes food, water
, air. The basic needs which AM Holdings Ltd. fulfil such as by providing proper facilities for
water, lunch breaks and salary so that they keep motivated and perform well.

An effective team is supposed to work with an aim of achieving objectives and having
clear understanding of individual roles. Team members of AM holdings are balanced by their
aspirations, delegation, abilities and skills with having perform job function in defined roles.
They are implementing effective process by having co-ordination with resources and reviewing
decisions. They are aware about effective decision making by having participation with other
team members. AM holding company is leading with open climate and honesty in building trust.

An ineffective team is a team who undergo from lack of intention by feeling bored and
