INTRODUCTION
The behaviour in organization is a study of human and its behaviour in the particular
industry. In this researcher focuses on particular person primary in their organizational roles
(Wood and et. al., 2019). The organizational behaviour provides accurate understanding of
employees behaviour and their performance in the organization. The organizational culture are
the set of values and expectation that provide guidance for the team members and assist them to
perform their action accordingly (Stankevičiūtė and Savanevičienė, 2021). The motivation refers
to activities to initiate and guide the people so that they get oriented towards the common goal.
Morrison is a multinational supermarket having headquarter in Bradford, England, the company
is having about 10 percentage of market share. This report will evaluate how culture assist to
improve the effectiveness with better communication. The role of culture is also determined to
motivate its employee's. Further, it will analysis the use of culture of Morrison for enhancing the
success.

The organization culture refers to behaviour that an individual show while working in the
company. This culture involves a faith and value that is created by leaders and further
communicate with the help of methods, perceptions and behaviours (Khan, Khan and Hussain,
2020). The organization culture of Morrison can be explained by handy culture as under:
Handy culture model: Morrison organization culture can be defined through this model as this
is a leading approach on the organizational culture. The model carry four different elements of
culture that are power, role, person and task in the organization.
Power culture: In this culture if the Morrison follow this culture element than the power is
allotted to very few people of the company and remaining uses to follow their orders. The
employees are being judge as per their achievements rather the way they use to do the work. The
power as well as control of Morrison is managed from centre. As the power culture is strong
culture that Morrison can easily adopt (Yoon, 2020).
Role culture: This culture based on rules of every individual in Morrison. The rules are very
restricted in this as employees are having their power as per their role in the organization. This
culture is basically have detailed structure so this is long chain of demand. The people of the

organization have delegated role in defined structure. This is suitable for small organization that
are having few employees so that all of them have their separate authorities.
Task culture: With the help of task culture the Morrison team is being divided into different
segment, and they are performing their activities to achievement a common goal. With this
culture company can improve employees coordination and the task is achieved with more
effectiveness.
Person culture: Morrison can make use of this as every individual look at themselves as unique
and best in the organization (Altay and et. al., 2018). This culture state that Morrison can exist in
the market with its people who are working for the company. This culture assist people to come
closer and work with the people with different culture and background. The culture lead to make
better relationship between different types of people which are working collectively.
As per the above discussion the Morrison is having power, role and person culture that
help company to enhance its productivity as well as smooth functioning in the company. The
power and authorities are distributed in proper manner so that employees can complete their
duties more effectively. Role and power in Morrison are equally apportioned to the people
therefore these model shows the effectiveness of its culture. Therefore, the organizational culture
is very effective in the company can all the employees know the role, so they are regularly trying
to enhance the coordination and also assist to avoid the conflict.
Way culture improve organization effectiveness in context of communication
The communication plays a great role in developing an effective culture in Morrison
(Nel, 2018). As the organization culture of the company need an effective communication so that
interaction between different people get improve. Morrison can improve culture effectiveness by
focusing on its communication method. The organization culture increase the overall
effectiveness of organization. The better culture also lead to shape the communication that assist
all the employee to aware about information. As the company is having open as well as friendly
culture that assist for better communication. The managers of the company is regularly trying to

Berlo's model of communication: this model shows the representation of communication that
assist for better communication. This involves four elements sender, channel, message and

uses to assist the employees so that they can inspire towards the work. Employee's motivation is
main to become success in the business if the motivation practise does not preform then
company will lead to less productivity. The effective culture will also promote the employees to
be innovative and creative (Smith, Giacon and McLean, 2018). With the help of Maslow's need
hierarchy theory it has been explained how the Morrison's culture influence employee's
motivation.
Masclow's need hierarchy theory: This theory of maslow's help to fulfil employees need so
that they get motivated automatically. This model has a hierarchy way from downward to
upward. As per this theory the employees needs should be fulfilled, this model has five stages
and all of these should be satisfied employee's.
Physiological needs: In the process of employee motivation the physiological is main need of
employees as it involve food, clothing and shelter as these all are very essential for every person
in the world. This all things are required for survival and their personal maintenance for a normal
person. As the Morrison's culture have such kind of culture by which all the physiological needs
can easily fulfilled. When these needs are satisfied then Morrison's managers and leaders not
make affords to motivate the employee's. For motivating the employee's of the company they are
providing adequate amount of salary to the employees so that they can satisfy and work
positively.
Safety needs: When the Morrison's employees are satisfied by the physiological needs then it
comes security and safety related needs of employees working for the company. This need are
based on economic security and safety of employee's as these process require big investment of
Morrison's. For this individual of the company are motivated to work more and when the
employees safety and overall security is fulfilled then leaders inactive this process.

employees to fulfil all the required needs so that they are inspired and work more and efficiently.
Esteem needs: The employees are also very concern about their self-esteem and their self-

to develop self-confidence, strength and capability of employees working for Morrison. The
leaders and managers are trying to treat their employees very gently so that their self-respect and
self- esteem is enhanced, and they become more satisfied by the working environment.
Self-actualization needs: this stage of employee motivation theory contain culmination of
lower, medium and higher needs of the workers. This is basically fulfilment of all the needs of
the employee so that they can be maximum satisfied in their work and environment. As in this
the leaders of Morrison check whether all the employees are satisfied or not and if any default
occurs, and then they again continue with the motivational process.
From the above theory of Maslow need hierarchy shows the organizational culture of
Morrison as the employee are willing to retain in the organization because the physiological
needs are mainly focused by the managers of Morrison. The employees are also getting a better
working environment that is safe and social so that every employee get easily adjust and
motivated towards work.

The culture of Morrison is effective as it leads improve the effectiveness and improve
over all productivity (Yadav and et. al., 2020). The culture of the company is very efficient as it
leads to better communicate and also help in motivating employees. There some aspect that show
culture assist in enhancing the success of Morrison:
Bridge ethnic barriers: The culture of Morrison assist to overcome with the barrier that are
earlier arising in the company. The different type people from the world are coming and working
together without any discrimination. This help Morrison to enhance the productivity and also
lead to success of the company (Syahrial and Badollahi, 2020). The company having that type of

managers support to perform their individual duties.
Decrease employee's turnover: Morrison is having a health environment that lead to increase in
employees retention and decrease the turnover as the company is having so friendly and efficient
working environment that help employee to work for long-term.

effective and helpful culture that is regularly leading to enhance the profitability. The
