1. Define the concepts of Scientific Management and Human relations theory
and critically discuss their relevance to modern organisational management.
2. Discuss the impact of organisational structure, design and communication on
organisational effectiveness.
3. Critically evaluate the relevance of models of human motivation and
leadership to the practice of management within a business context.
4. Using appropriate and up to date research sources, conduct an assessment
of factors of the internal and external organisational environments which may
impact on organisational management.
5. Based on clear evidence of relevant environmental factors, develop practical
strategies both for entering a foreign market; and for localising /
standardising organisational activities
6. Identify the main areas of ethical responsibility managers have in relation
