INTRODUCTION
In this business sector, it is crucial to focus on development of policies and regulations so
that it is easy to deal with problems in proper manner. Moreover, it is seen that with this flexibility
of market, it is becoming important to focus on access to new changes so that it is easy to achieve
goals as well as objectives. Gender diversity has been a trending hotspot from a long time period as
because it is targetted by everyone (Auwalin, 2019). In Australia, both men and women work with
equal level and have number of job opportunities at workplace and in market sector. This has been
also analysed that it is crucial to focus on change behaviour of people due to gender and culture of
diversity so that decisions are taken accordingly. It is examined that it is necessary to be aware
about the tradies system so that organisation is able to distribute job opportunities accordingly.
Moreover, women in Australia are more than men according to the NSW. So, this report is based on
concept of women tradies Australia.
TASK 1
1.1 Identify internal and external factors
R1. External factors
Legislation and other codes- In policy development, it is crucial to focus on legislation so
that it is easy to develop a policy for women tradies in Australia. Legislation consists of set
of rules and regulations that guides and directs how to do or act. Other codes comprises of
labour union codes of practice which are needed be considered in correct way. Through
adopting of these legislations, it is easy to develop a policy in proper manner.
New methods and technology- This is another external factor which affects the policy
development. With new market situation, it is not easy to execute the activities in operations
in smooth way. So, new methods and technology have been occurred and are changing at
rapid scale. Thus, in procedure of policy development, it is critically important to focus on
use of approaches and new technologies (Chaudhuri, 2020).
Market situation- It is too another form of market situation which is being affected so it is
seen that market situation is an external factor that has deep impact on policy development
as because market situation changes from time period and it is not easy to be stick with a
static policy. Thus, a proper market research analysis is needed on basis of which it is easier
to develop a new policy for development.
R2. identify and explain three internal factors that impact on policy development
Document Page
Internal factors
The leadership- This is an internal factor in which leadership and leaders impacts on policy
development. This is because leaders are one who takes all the major decisions. Moreover,
when implement new policies, leaders are being consulted and then final decisions are made
Employees- Employee too have wider impact on policy development as because they are
one who obeys all the rules as well as regulations and analyse the needs which is important
within a policy or procedures (Cuthbert, 2020).
Management & system- In an organisation, management as well as system are to be also
viewed as internal factor that affects the policy development as because when policy is
implemented, management and system prepare all the documents to regulate the policy.
Thus, management and system impact on policy development at larger scale.
This is critically analysed that internal factors have deep impact on policy development so
that and it is essential to have a internal analysis on basis of which it is easy to create a policy for
the specified area.
1.2 Analyse and conduct analysis of current policy and procedures
R1. List and explain three issues with current policy/ procedures
Workplace Gender Equality Act, 2012- According to this policy and act, it aims at
improving of equality level for both women and men. Main issue with this current policy is
that not every people are aware of this act and cannot be applied to every situation so due to
this issue inequality is still done in many locations of the country.
Equal pay wages- This is a also a current policy which is being adopted by Australia as
because it under this policy main aim is to provide equal pay to women. Problem with this
policy is that men were more getting benefit from this policy and it impact on women
earnings (Eastwood, (EYRG), 2017).
Contractual employment- This policy too is at current state which is focused by Australian
government. Under this policy, it focuses on providing employment letter to employees after
getting selected by employers. So, problem with this problem is policy is that women have
to obey all the strict rules and regulations that regulated by employers.

Work Place health safety act, 2011- This is a replacement legislation for the gender
inequality act in which it specifies about providing of work and health safety at workplace to
both men and women so that they can do tradies jobs such as plumbing, cable, networking
etc.
Minimum wages act- Under this policy, minimum wages is being provided to women and
men on the basis of which they are able to receive a minimum wage for their work and hour
at workplace.
Temporary or part employment contract- According to this policy, it states that
temporarily and part employment policy is needed to be used as it helps in focusing on their
personal as well as professional career in easy way (Fernandes, 2021).
Examine extent of these on current policy-
Work place health safety act, 2011
Main benefit of this policy on workplace gender equality act is that it assist in it focuses on
more health and safety rather than determining of equality and with this on-going pandemic
situation this act is needed at first (Jenkins, 2018).
Minimum wages policy-
Advantages of this policy over equal pay wages act is that it leads to with consideration of
this policy it is easy to provide minimum wages to all the people in country on basis of their
handwork, time spent and skills.
Temporary or part employment contract
This policy is too important and which is required to be adopted because it helps in women
and men to focus on other areas too when they are in temporary contract. Therefore, it is too seen
that with help of this contract women are able to work in more efficient way.
From above explained matter, it is analysed that a proper focus is needed to be maintained so
that it is crucial to be aware about current policy so that it is easy to develop a policy and use the
resources in efficient manner (Jones, 2017).

From the above table, it specifies about the policy and its development area which are
needed to be developed and focused. Moreover, it is too examined that a correct type of analysis is
being made which helps in preparation of this table at larger scale. Thus, it is critically analysed that
it is necessary to states about the issues related to policy so that it is easier to make decisions in
appropriate manner.
1.4 Consult with stakeholders
R1. Deliver a session to two key stakeholders on:
Current situation with policies-
Employees- These are the important stakeholders which are needed to be considered as they
follow all rules and regulations. The first policy which is Workplace Gender Equality Act,
2012 in which the current situation with this policy is that every single person uses this act
whenever there a difficult in situation arise also sometime it is too used by in a wrong way.
The second one is Equal pay wages in which it reflects about the equal pay wages and
current situation to this policy is that due to equal pay the more deserving individual too
receives equal pay as others. Then third aspect is Contractual employment, which it shows
about contract which is essential at workplace. In current situation, it impact on the personal
life of individual and that can leads to conflicts as well as issues. So, policy is needed to be
developed in proper considerations (Kaine, 2017).
Shareholders- Shareholders are those who have a higher interest in firm and position. They
are important part of enterprise as they invest in firm. So, first policy which is Workplace
Gender Equality Act, states everyone is to be treated equal. But current situation is that
when it comes to women tradies in Australia, many areas there where this act is not
followed. Then, further one is Equal pay wages, which shows regarding the paying equal
wages to everyone (Merlino, 2021). But many employees are there who use wrong
advantage of this policy also there is requirement of new development policy. Furthermore,
in contractual employment contract is provided to every candidate who comes to
organisation and everything is to be maintained and followed by the, at every aspect. This
affects the relations and personal attentions of subordinates.
Impact of this situation-
Main impact of this situation is that a new policy is required to be developed which are
beneficial for achieving of positive goals and objectives. Also, it is determined that in this COVID
19 situation, effective kinds of policies as well as procedures are to be adopted.
