INTRODUCTION
Organisational strategies can be define as complete set of actions that a firm needed to
take in order to achieve long term business goals. This organizational strategy arises with a
mission of the company that is the reason behind the inception of the organization. An
organization must have a vision and mission to grow and sustain in long run that is how Bristol
City local government developed the city. To develop the city Bristol's Mayor has a vision to
reach every citizen and support them and create place where they can live, work and play Bristol
can maintain its position. Bristol is a city in the United Kingdom but its in the leaders hand how
they make it a better place for the citizens and make it a crown not only in the UK but also in the
global economy. To follow an aspiration the leader need to develop a plan to pursue their actions
as they dreamed, so the Bristol's City plan is to work for the well fare of the citizens through
addressing inequalities of health, wealth and opportunities in the city. Bristol City Council is the
local authority of Bristol which was founded in the year 1974. It has 35 wards, electing a total of
70 councillors. The council comprises of 37 Labour Party Councillors, 15 Conservative Party
Councillors, 11 Green Party Councillors, and 7 Liberal Democrat Councillors. Bristol has several
communities the people who stays there came almost 187 countries who practices approximately
45 different religions and speaks in 91 languages. Now it growing as a diverse place with
international reputation and innovation and as being a UNESCO learning city it is promoting the
opportunities for the people across the diversification and also supports the refugees and asylum
seekers. Its major aim to achieve the success in leading a shared global values and development
goals, and it also wanted to be a strong economy that acts as an international gateway to the
country. It wanted to give a strong voice to cities to that ensures the international and national
policy directly fulfils the needs of the citizens (Arvidson and Lyon, 2014).
Bristol City Council is putting their efforts to provide health care services for the adults
and children through steadily reducing the inequalities. It aim is to offer a better begin of life and
vulnerable people should be protected and cared.
MAIN BODY
Bristol City Council aid to maintain the health of the people whether they are adult or
children in order to improve their lifestyle in an appropriate manner that support in decision
making to provide services. As there are more children under 15 years and that is more than the
people 65 years and over. The children who below five years are increased with thirty four
percent in the UK (Brown, 2014). In the UK one on five children lives in poverty but the health
care and well being is for everyone, the council is implements services for every one who lived

in the town. It reduces the inequalities of health care and well being of the people. The council is
aid to make city the most cared and valuable society where the young and old are equally matters
and it aid achieve the aspirations (Cacciolatti and Lee, 2016).

The above picture shows that the life expectancy increases in the both female and male
cause the better treatment always reflect for good. The average health life expectancy is the
average of number of years what a person might wish to live and the level they expect is good in
terms of healthy life. Both women and men has increased the life at least five years that is a good
symbol for healthcare (Cserhati and Szabo, 2014).
It takes a step forward towards health initiatives to support the people who are having a major
health risk as drag and alcohol misuse. As health care is a major issue for every one and the
council is focusing on that so SWOT and PESTEL are the two analysis which enlightens all the
positive and negative points (King and Boyatt, 2015).

One of the major threat is to work
closely with the providers to make sure
there is good enough good quality of
care (Nieboer and Gruis, 2014).
Lack of staff that can encourage the
extra support to the people whether
they are under 5 years below children

organization. Bristol City Council has the following exterior affects:
Political – The council is abide to follow the rules and regulations that are specified by the
central government and through which it can easily access the successful performance.
Social – Bristol has a large population approximately 437,500 with divers cultures so it has great
impact on the council because the organization needed to work according to the widespread
society where everyone must be happy with its practices .
Economical – UK has an average economy almost £27.8 and Bristol has £28.7 per hour that
makes it the one of the richest economy in the country and therefore the council has so many
things which can be expand to health sector to provide the much better services to the
communities.

Technological – The council is working for the people who stays in Bristol City and for that it
put efforts whatever it can to make the faces happy. It is offering a variety of services in every
sector including the health, housing, education and so on. Technology is essential to access the
services at anywhere and in variety of ways (North and Kumta, 2018).
Environment – Bristol City Council achieved its its target to reduce carbon emission successfully
and now it again set a target to remove the carbon emission by 65% till 2020. It also made a
great impact on the people life as now they have less breathing or Asthma problems and heart
troubles.
Legal – The council needed to maintain a goodwill among the society that's why they need to
follow the legal laws and regulations if they really wanted to attain its objectives.
Bristol City Council has several areas to work in and the health care is one of the core are
where is serving the good health care and treatments to children and adults. It has effective
strategies to enhance the services for the public in a most better way. There are so many people
who spends on the their lifestyle but having a good health is a right for everyone that's why it
provides a better treatments and care to everyone (Pasquinelli, 2014).
CONCLUSION
As the above report stated that Bristol City Council focused on the healthcare services for
the people in order to improve their lifestyle and life expectancy. There are some committees
which are appointed to take keep in touch with the public and care staff to implement decision
whenever required that aid to develop health life. It covers the rural and urban areas to facilitate
the citizens who belongs to the different background. The health care is provided for the all age
groups from five to above sixty five. The report also underpins the SWOT and PESTEL analysis
that evaluates the interior and exterior impact of the council on the region. The purpose of
analysis recognize the service user's requirement so that they can be improve.
Recommendations
It needed to improve physical and mental health and wellbeing to reduce inequalities in
health care.
It should take the action in order to improve air quality to minimise the environmental
effect that also reduces the health issues.
The food poverty should be managed for the homeless people so that they don't fell ill as
that is the most cause of their health issues.
The environment in the hospitals should be clean and the patients also get the treatment
on time.
