INTRODUCTION
In the following report a public sector National Health Services (NHS) of UK is selected
for understanding all term and function related with organisational structure and culture. This
firm is founded by Aneurin Bevan in 1948 (Adefila and et.al., 2020). This is a Government-
funded medial and Heath care organisation which provides services to UK peoples such as
providing a doctor or nurse at a surgery of doctor, treatment to all who feels unwell or injured
and many more. In this report discussion about organisational structure of public sector along
with culture is carried out. Further more, the impact and roles of central & local government is
explained as well as the concepts of organisational behaviour. Apart from this, it includes various
approaches to management style for public sector. At the end, this assignment covers impact of
relationship between motivation, OB and reflection on performance at workplace.

TASK 1
P1 Discuss various types of public sector organisational structure.
Public sector refers to those sector which provides an extent of government services that
includes public transportation, healthcare, education, police, military infrastructure etc. all these
public services varies from country to country depending upon legislation and laws that
government adopted. The main purpose of this service is to provide benefits to entire society
instead of only those who are using these services.
P2 Describe the concepts of culture as it applies to public sector organisation.
Organisational culture is a set of behavioural, emotional and physiological hypothesis
which is adopted by the management team of company. In context of chosen public firm NHS,
here are some concepts that is used by them:
Matrix management: The matrix team refers to a tool that assists the horizontal flow of
knowledge and skill. In this employees are selected from different position or departments to
carry out a task in a team without removing any worker from their respective position so that
each and every employee will feel that they are the part of origination (Fastiggi, Meerow and
Miller, 2020).

Role of central government on public service: The central government is a political
authority which governs the entire nation. The United Kingdom is a federal system of
government in which power is shared between central and state government. As the public sector
is operated by government. In which they have various role which are obstinate below:
Central bureau of investigation: It is a primary investigating agency watchdogs of nation
in order to arrest the growing menace of corporation. In context of NHS if any fraud case or any
issues happen with any patients then time there is involvement of CBI in order to investing or
solve the problem of peoples.

develop policies and rules which provide guidelines to the public services company to conduct
work in best manner (Le Coze, 2020).
Role of local government on public services: Local government generally understand the
