Challenges faced by TCS
There is a cause and effect relationship of leadership on the behaviour of the
organization. The leaders of the organizations must be capable enough of managing the
human resources present in the organization. The three major challenges faced by TCS was
based on developing a relationship with the client (Luthans, 2011). The key element of
organizational behaviour is the people and the structure of the organization. It is important to
stay transparent to the customer base present as it will help in fostering the sales in the long-
run. Therefore, having a workforce that is diverse will help in solving the problem. The other
challenge is the huge technological shift that TCS has to go through. Since the organization is
going for a paradigm shift for its programming innovation; therefore, the management of
TCS is also facing a lot of challenges. However, this is essential as the organization needs to
restructure the initiatives that are prominent which would help in improving the productivity
of the organization and also meet the competitive challenges at the marketplace not just
domestically but also globally (Cain, 2012). Besides, the organization must be ready to face
and meet the technological, environmental and the paradigm shifts as this would help in
meeting the requirements in the longer run.
Change in the current practices
There are certain areas of improvements for the leaders and the managers of the
organization that would help them in retaining and acquiring of talented workers by
identifying the fresh talents and developing them in order to be competitive. For this, the
managers at TCS needs to rethink about the traditional processes of hiring of employees
(Cheung, Wu & Ching Chi, 2019). This will also help in making the organization of HR more
agile and engaged. Conventional tools and techniques based on the digital format must be
designed in TCS which would help the organization to cope up with the talent crunch that it

faces at times (Luthans, Luthans & Luthans, 2015). Besides, screening of the employees and
developing their skills will also help in making them learn about the new skills and
knowledge taking place in the external environment. Making them able to work at the
collaborative environment and enabling them to embrace learning continually are some of the
measures that could be taken by TCS as this would help in managing the employees in a
better way (chap 5, pg 102-130).
