1ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR
As stated by Cripps (2017), personality is the amelioration of the different characteristic
features or qualities or attributes which form the distinctive unique character of an individual.
Simms et al. (2019) are of the viewpoint that there are around different types of personalities to
which the individuals belong and the individuals have the option to use the psychometric tests
like the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Big Five Personality test and others for identifying their
personality type. The purpose of this paper is to undertake an analysis of my own personality
type on the basis of the result which I obtained from the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
test.
The result of the MBTI test undertaken by me for the purpose of finding out my
personality reveals that my personality type is ENFJ, that is, I am extraverted, intuitive, feeling
and Judging. In this regard, I would like to say that the dimension of judging actually came as a
surprise since I am not a judging kind of person. For instance, I seldom form any judgments
regarding things or people and it is because of this when I saw the result of the test it came as a
surprise to me. Furthermore, I personally believe that I am more aligned to the extroverted
dimension of the personality type which I got from the MBTI. This can be explained on the basis
of the fact that I am a very outgoing kind of person and am very concerned with the social as
well as the physical environment. More importantly, I can easily mingle with the members of
any group or team and it is because of this I feel more aligned with the extrovert dimension of
the personality test result. I am of the viewpoint that the MBTI test a reliable way of finding out
one’s personality type or for that matter the most important attributes or the features of an
individual’s personality. As a matter of fact, it enables the individuals to identify the most
dominant attributes of their personality which in turn can help them to come to a better
understanding about themselves. Furthermore, the different organizations also have the option to

take the help of this particular tool for the purpose of identifying the most important personality
traits or for that matter the personality attributes of their employees. This in turn would help the
corporations to allocate suitable job roles or tasks to their employees keeping into perspective the
personality type to which they belong or the most important attributes of their personality.
To conclude, the individuals have the option to come to a better understanding about their
own personality and also about themselves through the usage of the different psychometric tests
or tools. The different psychometric tools enable the individuals to identify their most important
personality traits or for that matter the personality type to which they belong. This information in
turn can help the individuals to facilitate a better development of their own personality by
undertaking the development of their important personality traits or attributes.
