strategies used by the companies are related with the overall theoretical concepts. In this paper,
the discussion will be made on the different strategies used by the companies in relation to
overall theoretical framework. The discussion that will be made in this paper will relate to
different factors such as motivation, personality and diversity.
Motivation
Motivation is one of the concepts that are considered by the companies to boost the
overall productivity and efficiency level of the employees. It has been examined that to motivate
the employees, the companies consider the reward strategy in the workplace. The rewards are
offered to the workers according to their performance and it also boosts the positivity in
employees in relation to work. There are some rewards that are earned by the employee’s
through the membership and also with the experience (Wlodkowski & Ginsberg, 2017). These
consist of pension and also paid leaves. The next type of reward is offered to the employees in
relation to promotion and recognition. There are many companies in which the employees are
motivated through the incentive process, in which the workers have the opportunity to earn
incentives in the form of monetary form. It is the best way that brings change in the behavior of
the employees and also positively affects the overall growth in the business (Peters, 2015).
It has been observed that this strategy is supported by the theoretical framework which is
Maslow hierarchy of needs. To motivate the employees, the companies consider this theory that
helps to satisfy the basic needs and also bring improvisation in the overall behavior of the
individuals. The first stage is physiological stage in which the focus is given on food, sleep and
shelter. The next is safety and security needs in which emphasis is on job safety and security.
Belongingness and love needs focuses on the maintaining the relations. Fourth stage is esteem
needs in which mastery, status and achievement is considered. The last stage is self-actualization
needs that consider growth, development and also utilization of the potential of people. These are
the needs that help in boosting the motivational level of the workers (Fallatah & Syed, 2018). So,
through this it can be stated that the strategies used by the companies are related with the overall
theoretical concepts.

Personality
Personality is the other aspect that is considered by the companies and in this the strategy
which is used relates to selecting the best staff. The assessment forms and interviews are
conducted by the company so that it could be easy to appoint the right employee at the right
place. This strategy helps in accomplishing the set targets and goals (Schultz & Schultz, 2016).
In relation to this strategy, the big five personality dimensions are considered that helps in
bringing change in the behavior and also in the working structure of workers. The first factor
which is used is agreeableness in which he people who get high score in agreeableness are
courteous and also empathic. The next stage is neuroticism people who get high score are hostile
and depressed. The third one is openness to experience in which the people are sensitive and also
creative (Carson, 2019).
Extroversion is also the stage in which the workers are social and also assertive.
Therefore, by examining this factor it can be stated that majority of the companies use the
strategy of selecting the best candidates and also they relate their overall strategy with the big
five personality dimensions. So, it is important for the companies to consider the personality
approach so that it could be easy to accomplish the goals and objectives (Cervone & Pervin,
2015).
Diversity
It is considered as the commitment which is concerned with the recruiting, retaining,
rewarding and promoting the heterogeneous mix of productive, motivated and also committed
employees that helps to manage the diversity. In relation to this factor, training is one of the
important strategies that are considered by the companies. It has been seen that training is offered
to the employees so that they can get the knowledge in context to the overall working structure.
Majority of the companies consider the training strategy as it helps in creating positive culture in
the workplace. To support the training strategy, the resource based theory of diversity
management is considered that emphasizes on the four categories such as physical, capital,
financial capital, human capital and corporate capital resources (Hitt, Xu & Carnes, 2016).
The company’s focuses on maintaining the resources that will help in improving the
business activities. Racial diversity within the companies enhances the financial performance

when innovation strategy is used. It has been found that the companies with the diversity
management practices experience the low level of turnover. This is one of the theories that
relates with the strategy training and the companies use the diversity management theory that
helps in managing and controlling the functional operations of the business. So, it can be stated
that diversity in the workplace can be managed with the training strategy. It can be said that
diversity management helps the companies in attaining the set goals (Kirton & Greene, 2015).
Conclusion
So, it can be agreed that the strategies used by the companies are related with the overall
theoretical concepts. By emphasizing on the different strategies such as reward strategy, training
strategy and selection strategy there are various conceptual framework that are used by the
companies to manage the operational functions of the business. It can be stated that the
theoretical concepts such as Maslow hierarchy of needs, resource based theory of diversity
management and big five personality dimensions. So, it can be stated that strategies that are
implemented by the business are concerned with the overall change in the behavior and also with
theoretical framework.
