1. Introduction
In the course of this assignment, the various traits of personal behaviour as well as
maintenance of the communication skills would be analysed. The following job roles that
have been defined and analysed reflects how collaboration in a team is maintained. Out of the
defined job roles, the role played by the initiator as well as realty checker is deemed to be
most important.
2. Analysis of personal behaviour using advanced communication skills
2.1 Role of an Initiator
In the role of an Initiator, the research questions and the research hypothesis were set
by me for the group assignments that I undertook. Other than me, another fellow group
member of mine always takes up the role of distributing project tasks to all the team members
specifically. This helps us to make a smooth start to all the academic assignments. Other than
that the individual talent analysis is also a part of the task of the initiator (Kumar, 2015). This
is basically done by me in consultations with few of the other team mates of mine. The other
team member about whom I spoke of, have the incredible quality of motivating the others
when the team lacks harmony and integration.
2.2 Role of an Information Exchanger
The information exchange in our team is basically is a job role that is equally shared
by all of us. However, there is specifically two of my team mates who helps the rest of the
team by doing research analysis. After the allotment of the individual job roles, the
information exchanger helps the individual work groups or the members by suggesting them
ideas about the feasible sources from where they can conduct secondary research (Inglehart,
2018). Other than that, they also analyse other’s perceptions about data research and
comments regarding the appropriateness of the research approach that is undertaken by them.

research and relevant research approach and design (Kikuchi, 2015). Their good
communication skills allows them to do so.
2.3 Role as an Information Synthesizer
I have so long played the role of information synthesizer in the project group to which
I belong. In this role, I make a primary assessment of the research data that have been
accumulated by the team members and contemplating on the main points that have been
gathered by them, I suggest (at times make myself) how the conceptual frame work for the
research study is to be created (Zoogah, Noe & Shenkar, 2015). I always emphasise that the
key research points and how the data have been used to validate the key areas of research,
have been reflected in my research study.
2.4 Reality Checking
The role of reality checking is performed by the most senior member of our project
group. She acts as an overall guide behind the research study and refers to the kind of
research design that is to be undertaken for designated research categories. The team based
goals are set by the reality checker and the selection of members for individual project works
are done by the reality checker (Green, Stawicki & Firstenberg, 2018). She analyses the
difficulties that the research teams face in the context of accomplishing the research works.
By means of her experience, she is able to detect the flaws in the assignment and thereby
works up on them so that the quality of assignment is not compromised. Other than that, she
is also liable to guide the team members when they have difficulty in understanding the
lecture notes.
2.5 Importance of an Encourager
Other than that, the information exchanger helps the team members with ideas of primary

our group. I raise counter arguments as well as objections by providing alternative
explanations to the research approach that I do not find justified. Other than that I have
always kept an eye on maintaining the positive attitude among the team members so that
there is no negativity due to counter argumentation. As an encourager, I have to make sure
that the important issues are resolved and the team do not get caught up in the details (Binder,
2016). Lastly, I also work towards seeking new potential through situations so that the
qualitative aspect in the team might emerge and the quality of the project or the
understanding level of the individual team members also develop.
2.6 Role as a Conflict Solver
It is meaningless to expect that conflicts as well as personal tussles would not emerge
in a team. That is why some of the senior members are present in our tam who takes up the
row of the conflict resolver. The conflict solver in our team is a senior project guide who
always keeps an eye on that fact that the work-life balance of our team members are intact
(Butchibabu et al. 2016). He also makes sure that the work load of the assignments are
properly handled and excessive stress do not fall on any of the individual teammates. Often I
also assume the role of a conflict resolver. I propose fun approaches and taking breaks on
occasional basis so that the members of the team are always charged up to take up urgent
responsibilities.

classified the individual job roles that respective team mates take up in this context. In the
course of doing this, I have come to realise that successful teamwork is the cornerstone that
lead a project team towards success.
