What advantages are there to groups/teams comprised of members from around the
globe?
There are various advantages of there are members in the group around the globe. One of the
advantages is related with diversity. If there are different members then it would be easy for the
top authorities to maintain diversity in the team. By having people from different background, it
will be easy for the team member to share a unique approach and also it will assist in generating
innovative ideas. Different languages can also be the benefit for the team members.
How would these advantages be different in complex projects?
The advantage related with different opinions and views will be different in complex projects.
There will be different people from different backgrounds so if there is complex projects the
people will handle with unique ideas. If in the complex process, the unique language is used by
the customers or higher authorities then it would be easy for the team member to deal with
complex projects. Better understanding can be generated within the other team members
(Conrad, 2018).
What challenges do you believe a PM will face in managing a project group over
international boundaries?
The challenge that will be faced by the project manager in controlling the project group is related
with communication. It is not possible for the project manager to learn all the languages so it
could be one of the challenges. Different people of different country have their own language. If
proper use of the language is not done then it would be difficult to manage the projects group
over the international market (Stahl & Tung, 2015).
How can you prepare for, or minimize these challenges?
This challenge can be reduced if the project manager takes use of the mediator to communicate
their words. It will help in managing the project groups over the international boundaries as well.
