INTRODUCTION
Overview of the case study and main organizational issues:
The case is related with the Thames Valley Building Society whose manager was Mary
Rogers.
Tony Jackson joined the society after nine months and when Tony Jackson interviewed
the Mary Rogers, a situation of non-complication of thoughts and message occurs
between Mary and Tony. And meanwhile he was appointed as Senior branch assistant.
Jane Taylor is also working in the society from the last four year as cashier and perform
the function of mortgage advances.

ISSUE-1: LACK OF MOTIVATION
Motivation refers to the inner desire of an individual that encourage an individual to
perform the task (Kanfer, Frese and Johnson, 2017).
It is an important organizational behaviour issue because due to low motivation
employees may not be able to work or give their full potential.

Theories:
Expectancy theory:
As per this theory expectation act as a base of motivation that encourage an individual
to get encouraged and motivated.
With the course of time and individual expectation raises and when it will be fulfilled
then it will lead to the motivation among the individual.
Equity Theory:
According to this theory there is a need of equity in order to have motivation among the
individual.
An equal and faire treatment of employees within the organization would act as a

ISSUE-3 LACK OF TRUST
Trust is one of the important element in case of an organization and working place.
If there is no trust among the employees and the and the employer then no organization
can achieve success and headed towards the direction of its objectives (Louis and
Murphy, 2017).
Lack of trust in the organization is a serious issue because it will act as an hinderance in
the actual efficiency and performance of the work.

Empowering theory:
As per this theory there is a need to develop positive and trust environment in the
organization.
This theory also support psychological behaviour of leader with respect to organization.
Since, reliance involves attitude, behaviour and action (McGeer and Pettit, 2017).
Cognitive theory:
As per this theory there is a special relationship between the staff member and the
organization.
This means that they trust each other nonoptimally.
