INTRODUCTION
Organizational behaviour is the study of both individual and group performance in the
company. In this there is the study of the attitude, behaviour of the individuals at the workplace,
their main focus is on the communication skills, job structure and on the motivation and
leadership theories (Alimudin and Sukoco, 2017). It helps in measure the performance of the
employees for increase the productivity of the employee and help in accomplishing the goals of
company. This report is based on the Richer sounds. It was started in 1978, it was founded by
Julian Richer, when he opened his first shop on London Bridge Walk. He was selling hi-fi
equipment at the age of 19, in currently it give employment to 500 employees and 53 stores is
available selling nationwide range of TV, premium audio equipment. There is the influence of
the culture, politics and power on the organization performance. There are many theories for
motivation of the employees and teams to achieve the goals. There is the understanding of the
effective and ineffective teams and various organisational behaviour for the different business
situation.
TASK1
P1: Analyse of the organization culture, politics and power
In the organization there are different culture is followed by the manager because all
worker are come from different culture which means they have to follow the same culture at the
workplace, there is different types of politics is held liable in the company for the achievement of
the organization goals. There are different types of power is also used by the manager for the
supervision of employees.
Organization culture- It means collection of the values and practices that is used to
improved the performance of the employee and bring out main qualities or talents of the
subordinate. It includes all expectations, values and brings all future expectations (Amabile and
Pratt, 2016). In the Richer sounds, culture is culture is important to identify the attitude of the
employee. There are many culture are follows-
Role culture- In this culture, there is the role of every employee is determine by the
managers in their roles and responsibility and there is clear guidelines is provided by the

leaders and effective managers of all department. In context to Richer sounds, there is
the need of increase the efficiency by use of clear understanding of task.
Task culture- this culture helps the manager in the completion of the task because
through this task is allocated to different worker according to their talent. In Richer
sounds, this culture helps them to achieve the task on given time which helps in optimal
utilization of the resources.
Power culture- this culture is based on the power of the decision maker, because there
are people present is of power base. With the use of this Richer sounds measure the
performance of the employee on the basis of result.
Person culture- In this culture, everyone at the workplace is useful for the organization
because all of them have different talents and skills. There is the need of the experts for
the Richer sounds, because everyone has their own importance in the company.
According to organizational structure of the Richer sounds, Role culture is applied in their
business. It helps the managers in delegating tasks in accordance to their talent of their
employees.
Organizational Power- It means the structure of the organization in which ability of all
individuals is included they utilize the capabilities of the human resources. They use the French
and Raven form of power by the leaders of the Richer sounds to influence their worker at the
workplace.
Coercive power- In this, manager give various orders to the workers for perform the task
with their support. By using this style, Richard sounds make sure there is on the
performance task is done (Aminikhah, Khaneghah and Naghdian, , 2016).
Reward power- It ensures that leader provides the reward to the employee regarding
their completion of the work. In context to Richard sounds, this power helps in increase
the morale of the subordinate and motivates them to achieve organization goals.
Legitimate power- In this power is related to the position of the employee, if any individuals
loses its job then they will lose their power and authority. In this there are three pillars are there

Expert power- this power is generate from the skill and knowledge depend on the
individuals, they derived their power through their own traits, this help the Richard
sounds, in providing power to the learning holders.
In this organization of Richard sounds, they use the Expert power. It means employee in this are
very experts and there is the proper direction is provided to the worker for improve the business
objective in short period of time (Köse, 2016).
Organizational politics- It include the various principles, power and procedure for the firm
according to their rights. There are of two types included in this are positive politics and negative
politics (Jiang, Zhao and Ni, 2017).
Positive politics- In the positive politics, both the goal and objective of personal
and organizational is achieved which help the employee in increasing their
productivity and maintain the good relationship with all subordinate through
which safety and security is maintained. In Richard sounds manager always try to
maintain this politics in the company.
Negative politics- In this politics, it affects the productivity of the worker. In
Richard sounds, there is the discrimination is done between employee because
one subordinate get promotion easily without any hard work and other do not get
any promotion if they work hard.

motivation of worker and leading them in one direction towards the achievement

business effectively. Through this they easily influence the individual and team behaviour
by adopting the ‘Role culture which helps in the avoidance of conflict in the
communication. Manager provides right information to the employee for the activity that
has to be performed. In the company Expert power is use for the avoidance of the error and
proper direction is provided, they follow both “French and Raven model and “Handy’s
model” for the effective structure at the Richard sounds.

P2 Elaborate the motivation theories for achieving objectives of organization:
In the organization, motivational factor is very important for boost the morale of the employee
and increase the commitment of the employees towards the entity. There are two theories are
follow content theory and process theory which help in increase the level of the employees (Ning
and Zhaoyi, 2017).
Content theory- This theory is used to define the wants of the people for their
satisfaction level. In Richard sounds they follow the Maslow’s hierarchy of needs to
influence their workers. This include various factors-
Physiological needs- it includes all basic necessity of humans that is food, shelter
and clothes. In context to Richard sounds, they have to pay basic salary to the
worker to meet all their basic needs.
Safety needs- It includes the safety and security need of the individual in the
organization. In Richard sounds, they provide both safety and security needs to
them and their family member related to the pension and provident fund,
Social Belongingness needs- It includes social belongingness because it includes
social and community groups, their family and friends. In Richard sounds, worker
have freedom to show the negative and positive politics which is neglected.
Self esteem- It means there is the need of the status and recognition, in this peoples

achievement. Because motivated employee give better performance to increase the profitability
of company (Rhee, Seog, Bozorov and Dedahanov, 2017).

P3: Difference between effective and ineffective team
Effective team means the team which has only one objective and every member works towards
that specific objective. In an effective team open discussion takes place and a very healthy
conversation is done among all the team members. An ineffective team member don't agree to
the goals and members don't want to listen any other person's point of view. Due to this conflicts
arise in the organisation. The below analysis is based on Richard sounds, In this the team was
effective, all the members were focusing on the single objective and if any changes are required
then they used to agree at that point (Rohman and et.al., 2020).

Richard sounds. It started the team in the most efficient way and all the members
including the head of the department were interacting with each other.
Storming : In this stage the reality comes in front of everyone whether its the reality of
members or the task reality. At some point of time conflicts also arise because some gets
agree to the point and some not. As in the case of Richard sounds. The mangers start
telling about the tasks and had to face some conflict also (Wahjusaputri, 2018). Norming: In this phase the teamer’s strengths are appreciated so that they performed
more efficiently. Some tasks also takes place and due to this the conflicts may arise. The
members of the company were appreciated so that they performed more with confidence. Performing: In this stage all the members wants to achieve the goals so their morale gets
increased and becomes more confident to achieve the goals.ABC ltd motivated all the
employees so that the goals can be easily achieved.
Adjourning: This is the last stage of the organisation in which almost every task is
achieved. The final tasks are about to complete. Some new members may also be
appointed and due to this the company gets back to the first stage. As all the tasks are
achieved so company appointed new members also to perform better than their
competitors.
M3: Evaluate the group development theory for maintaining the effective teams
In the Richard sounds, they apply the Tuckman theory for maintain cooperation and for the
development of effective and ineffective teams. In this leader play main role in delegate
the responsibility to every worker according to their specialization and help them in
conducting all activity in a effective manner. Through this theory company is able to
improve their working style and made strict rules to follow the direction for the
achievement of the goals.

P4:Concept of organizational behaviour within the company
In this concept, there is the study of the human behaviour in the organization, this concept
help in determined the behaviour of individual at the industry. This help in improve their
performance, motivation and communication. In Richard sounds, they analyse the

behaviour of the worker through this conflict is solved by the leader which help in increase
the productivity.
Scenario- In the Richard sounds, net profit is declining from year to year, their main
focus is on improving the performance of the worker for increasing the revenue of the
company in retail sector. They use the path goal theory for increase the client base.
Path goal theory:
Environmental characteristics- In this theory leader focus on the environmental
factor which gives effect on the profitability ratio due to the changes in the climate
and health of the consumer etc. In Richard sounds, they have to increase their sales
through various promotion activities.
Employee characteristics- It is very important for the profit of Richard sounds to
increase the profit, through this organization is hiring different employee according
to their specializations. From this they solve the issue of the employee and maintain
the brand name easily. They have power to appoint leader at the workplace (Wang,

guidelines for all employees so that they can work effectively and achieve the
organization's goal in a productive way.
Supporting Leadership - In this style, a supportive leader plays a key role in order
to meet the needs of the employees. They support them when they need and treat
them with respect. At Richard sounds, the benefit is enhanced by the supportive
role of the leader throughout the department so that they can treat the employee as a
member of their family and assist them when they need any help from them at the
workplace.
Successful Leadership - In this case, the leader provides the objectives of the
copany and expects maximum performance from the worker. It is suitable for a

that is arising in the company. For this they use different approaches of leadership styles
for increase the net profit at the workplace. Leaders increase their skills through use
corrective measures for controlling the impact of internal and external environment. It also
helps in making the decision related to the task and delegate their working according to the
deadline. In this they maintain the relationship with superior and subordinate in a
positively manner. Form this they achieve their organization goals in the efficient manner.

and philosophies that influence employees'. In Morrison’s case, the firm used two theories or
philosophies to influence the performance of employees. These two ideas are Tuckman and path
goal theory. Tuckman's theory is used by the leader and their team worker for determine the
work from the beginning to the end. This model actually ends with phases such as forming
adjourning , storming, norming and performing. In path goal theory there is the requirement for
motivating employees on how to communicate with the manager and subordinates. It is based on
the style of leadership or the way in which employees behave and the culture of work to achieve
the purpose of the organization. There vision is to increases staff motivation, empowerment and

organization (Yang, He, Cui and Hsu, 2018).

From the above report it has been concluded that organizational behaviour means the interaction
of human behaviour in a company, it is a study related to the expected attitude of the employee
in the business. In this report, companies use a variety of model and theory in organizational
culture, politics and power which is role, person and task culture, good and bad politics and
French and Raven forms respectively. There are a variety of motivational approaches used in
business process theory and theory which are Vroom time expectations and Maslow sequence
theory to provide inspiration to the employee. In business they use Tuckman's belief in making a
successful team. Apart from this theory of Path goal also used by the leader to provide a
leadership style of a different business environment.
