INTRODUCTION
Organizational change are the alteration in the organizational operation, process, roles,
relationships, technology etc. within the organization for the objective of growth. It is alteration
in the current situation and condition in the organization. For a successful organizational change
there must be clear vision, involvement of whole organization, effectively communicating the
strategy and changes etc. Australia post is a government enterprise which was founded in 1975
and its headquarters is in Melbourne. In the further report change management process and
organizational behaviour and the external environment impacts on change strategies will be
explained. Change Management Project Plan will be prepared and key internal and external
stakeholders will be consulted. Light will be put upon the barriers to change and strategies that
will put in place to address them. Lastly communication Plan for educating staff on the changes
and Monitoring and Evaluation Plan will be prepared.

Activities and components involved in the change management process
Change is constant part of organization and it boosts the growth of the organization. And
before the change has to be made in the organization, managers and leaders must prepare all the
employees for the same. Australian post is planning to extend the trading hours from 12pm to
5pm on Saturdays in 5 post offices in NSW. Certain components should be taken into
consideration for a well managed change such as good planning is required, the implemented
change must be controlled. Hussey's EASIER model is used to mange change in Australia post:
Envision – Firstly, the goal of changes which is to be undertaken must be clear and the
direction in which the organization wishes to go must be specified. The goal of Australia
post is to extend the trading hours from 12pm to 5pm on Saturdays in 5 post offices in

Activate – In the next step the vision cleared by the organization must be communicated

change and by their cooperate the changes are possible.
The organizational structure – The organizational structure impacts the change strategies as
complex structure will make the implementation process longer and also there will be hindrance
in communication.
Political factors – External environment such as political condition do impact the changes. In this
case the as favourable political condition in New South Wales will provide an easiness of
implementing change.
