INTRODUCTION
Organisational change is the important factor that leads to sustain in the large market and
the leaders make the strategies and change their business operation according to the changing
behaviour of the company. Changes are necessary in order to meet the demand and preferences
of the target market. Sainsbury is the multinational organisation which is operating their business
in United Kingdom. The company is founded by John James in 1869 and is the largest retailer in
the London market. This report will cover the impact of change in an organisation and also
analyse the various ways in which internal and external drivers of change affect leadership, team
and individual. Furthermore, It will explain the barriers of organisational change and different
approaches of leadership to deal with the changing environment of business.

Business strategy is defined as the actions and the decision take is taken with the
consideration of doing the business in an right approach so that business can move in the right
direction(Al Barwani and Osman, 2018). This helps in making the right use of people and
develop a new product that can meet the need and demand of the customers. Organisation
structure is the important factors that play an important role in the development of the company.
It is the main consideration of the business that help in making the right use of strategies,
policies, technology and the many other factors in an organisation. Manager must analyse their
business and their products and then launch the new product so that they can meet the changing
behaviour of the business. Furthermore, the business is have to analyse their business
environment and then implement the change so that the manager can easily make the better use
of their strategies and action plan and achieve the business goal.
Manager must analyse the impact of change in their various business operations so that
they can be easily implement in their operations. Sometimes, changes can be leads to huge loose
to their negative effect of business(Yogi, Rizal, and Suharyo, 2017). Therefore, it the
responsibility of the manager to introduce a new strategies and polices to meet the current
demand of the loyal customers. Sainsbury is the leading company which is operating their
business in large segment. The company is fulfilling the job requirement of employees like

facing the various problem in sustaining the marketplace. There are projects which is depends on
productivity and profitability of the business in order to maintain the good brand image in the
marketplace and also beat the competitors like Tesco. It is necessary to change their operational
activities according to the changing trends of the company to meet the competitive advantage in
the marketplace.

The driver's change is an micro and macro forces that shape to change in an organization
and this change includes strategy design products and operations. some common change drivers
in internal and external factors are explained below:
Customer driver's Change- change is very important in the market to fulfill the needs
and preferences of the customer. organization must update their technology product and
services in order to satisfy the loyal customer and also change in their business strategy
so that it business can adopt the new opportunity in order to to maximize their
profitability.
Competitor's driver Change- there are many competitors in the large market and it is
important to produce the goods and services that can have the competitive advantage and
built a good brand image in the market so that the potential customers can reach out to

Change: It is the phenomena of transforming the various aspect of the business so that
they organisation can match the changing environment and able to fulfil the needs and demand
of the potential customers. There are various types of change which is explained as follows:
Strategic transformational change: It is the change which takes place as the change in
the various strategies of the business. It can impact positively and negatively on the
functioning of the organisation. Sainsbury also making the change in strategies and
conducting their their business operation accordingly.
