2RESEARCH PROPOSAL
Introduction
The Organizational Climate or the Organizational environment can be defined as
the overall experience of the organization which is experienced by an employee. The
understanding of the organizational climate is crucial as it guides in understanding the
manner in which the different employees have been performing and also assists in
determining how the employees could be motivated in the workplace and how the
different employees tend to behave in the organization. Various researchers have often
undertaken considerable work related to the field of organizational climate and related
development of the employees. According to Alajmi (2016), the different employees
often undergo changes and this change then influences the performance of the
employee either in a positive or a negative manner. There are a large number of factors
which influence the manner in which the organization culture is influenced and in
relation to this, leadership needs to play a critical role which may assist the different
employees during this time of change. Many firms with a good organizational culture
have reflected a positive growth in the firm.
Therefore, the main aim of this section is to outline the way in which the study will
be carried out and to describe the way in which the organizational climate and the
culture influence the overall working environment of the employees and in return have
an influence on the performance of the different employees in an organization
(Håkonsson, Obel & Burton, 2008). The study aims to analyze the different factors
which have an influence on the overall organizational change management procedure
and the environment so as to determine how this will have an impact on the
performance of the employees and hence relate it to the overall productivity of the firm.
In the previous assessment, the research question was identified as follows:
To evaluate the concept of organizational climate change and cultural change in
organization and to see examine their impact on the organization.
The justification for the choice of the question has been given as follows:

manner in which the organizational climate and cultural change have an impact on the
employee performance and describe the manner in which the organizational
performance can be improved
The Research Methodology
Research Overview
The research methodology forms a critical section of the study and helps in
identifying the various research techniques which can be applied in the study in order to
find the overall objectives which have been set out in the paper. The research
methodology is also useful in assessing the viability of the Research Questions and the
Research techniques which will be suitable for the study. The Research Design,
research approach, philosophy and the data collection along with the analysis
techniques will be stated. Additionally, the reason why each design has been adopted
will also be mentioned (Walliman, 2017).
Research Philosophy
The research philosophy is the primary obligation with reverence to which a
research is usually carried out. It determines the set of assumptions as well as the
beliefs based on which the research is conducted. The research philosophy for this
study in order to find the impact of the organizational climate change and cultural
change on the organization has been taken as the Positivist research philosophy (Flick,

4RESEARCH PROPOSAL
2015). The positivist research philosophy assists in determining how the research will
be carrying out the procedure of the research and lays down the way in which the
research procedure outcomes can be predicted accordingly (Fletcher, 2017). The
justification for the adoption of this research philosophy can be given as the fact that it
assists in finding the impact of one of the variables on the other and also contributes
towards understanding the way in which the organizational environment is greatly
affected by the change (Hellriegel & Slocum Jr, 1974).
Research Approach
The approach to the research can be taken as the emphasis which is usually laid
on the causality based on which the research is conducted (Walliman, 2017). In this
research approach, it can be analyzed that the researcher will be following the
deductive approach. In the deductive approach, the researcher will be required to
undertake the collection of the data successfully and with relation to this, they will be
deducing the information and retrieving the right information (Ekvall, 1996). Hence, in
this approach, the researcher will be collecting information based on the organizational
culture and the change in the firm and this will be used to make conclusions about the
objectives of the study. The reason why this approach is considered to be appropriate
is because; it will assist in deriving the association between the dependent and the
independent variable.
Research Design
The research design can be stated to be the structure of the research which is
adopted by the researcher. In association with this, the research design assists in
achieving the objectives of the study in the correct manner and contributes towards
understanding how the research information would assist in completing the outcomes of
the study and the intended goals (Denison, 1996). The study will be focusing on the
descriptive research design. The use of the descriptive research design can be made to
define the various organizational change problems and determine its overall impact on
the effectiveness of the organizational performance (Walliman, 2017).
Research Strategy
Document Page
5RESEARCH PROPOSAL
The research strategy is the plan which is generally adopted for the research
purpose and tends to determine how the research procedure will be carried out and how
the researcher will be managing the overall data collection procedure. With relation to
this, it can be successfully mentioned that, the research strategy which will be followed
for the paper will be the Primary Quantitative research strategy (Castro & Martins,
2010). In this strategy, the primary data collection method shall be adopted which will
then assist in examining the viewpoint of the different employees and they will be giving
their view point on the various organizational change and change culture management.
In reverence to this, the data which will be collected using the primary sources will be
analyzed and examined by making use of quantitative and statistical methods (Kumar,
2019). Through the various research results, conclusions about the influence of
organizational change and the cultural change on the overall effectiveness of the firm
can be essentially examined which shall assist in the fulfillment of the objectives of the
research.
Sampling technique
The sampling technique can be defined as the method of sampling data
collection and analysis which is usually adopted in relation to a research (Silverman,
2016). The sampling technique which has been selected for the study is the non-
probability sampling technique. In this sampling technique, the data will be collected
from various random respondents who will be selected from the different organizations
and their view point on the culture of the organization and the manner in which the
culture defines the performance at the workplace shall be critically assessed (Burton,
Lauridsen & Obel ,2004). The sample size which has been selected for the research will
be the 150 respondents. These respondents will be distributed with the questionnaire
through the Google forms and based on this; their responses will be analyzed in order
to see to it that, the objectives can be attained successfully. Through this technique, the
impact of the independent variable on the dependent variable will be examined to gain
the real time perspective of the employees (Taylor, Bogdan & DeVault, 2015).
Data collection method
Document Page
6RESEARCH PROPOSAL
The method of data collection which is planned to apply in the case of this
research is the primary research method. In this kind of a research method, the data will
be collected from the different respondents with the help of the survey which is the key
research instrument (Ledford & Gast, 2018). The research instrument will be distributed
amongst the various participants and their viewpoint on the research will be undertaken
and analyzed accordingly. As the research involves the use of two different variables,
the primary data collection method is understood to be adopted as it will assist in
achieving the research objective which has been laid down in the beginning of the
research.
Data analysis method
The data analysis method which will be adopted for the purpose of the study can
be stated to be the quantitative data analysis method. In relation to this, the data which
will be collected using the primary sources will be essentially analyzed using the
quantitative method (Taylor, Bogdan & DeVault, 2015). The quantitative method which
will be adopted for the research can be stated to be the statistical methods of the
regression and the correlation. Through this a hypothesis will be tested and based on
this; the conclusions regarding the research will be undertaken accordingly (Mackey &
Gass, 2015). The particular data analysis method will be suitable for the research
because it will assist in finding the reason why the culture tends to have an impact on
the organizational performance. The software which is being adopted for the purpose of
the research can be stated to be the SPSS which serves as a good medium to analyze
the impact of the independent variable on the dependent variable (McCusker &
Gunaydin, 2015).
Research ethics, Accessibility and Reliability issues
The ethics forms an essential part of the research. With relation to this, as the
use of the primary data collection is involved, it becomes integral for the researcher to
see to it that the overall privacy of the participants is maintained (Silverman, 2016).
Additionally, it is critical for the researcher to ensure that, the consent of the participants
needs to be undertaken before any research and data collection procedure is

undertaken (Alvesson & Sköldberg 2017). Moreover, there are certain accessibility
issues which might be faced by the different participants and these can be centered on
issues like finding the right kind of respondent for the research, extracting the right kind
of research articles for the review and others. Moreover, it has to be ensured that the
data which is being collected for the research is not subjected to biasness as this will
ensure that the results which are presented are authentic in nature. The different
participants who are being selected under the research cannot be discriminated against
in any manner and no misconducts can be made with respect to them (Quinlan et al.
2019). Additionally, the evaluation of various sources of data has to be made to see to it
that the research objectives are being achieved in the right manner.

8RESEARCH PROPOSAL
Research Hypothesis
The research hypothesis is the testing condition which is assessed in the case of
a research paper (Quinlan et al. 2019). The research hypothesis which will be tested in
the given research can be stated to be as follows:
1. Alternate Hypothesis: The cultural change and the organizational change have a
strong impact on the performance of the firm.
2. Null hypothesis: The cultural change and the organizational change do not have
a strong impact on the performance of the firm.
Expected Outcomes
The study will be conducted within a time frame of 6 weeks and in relation to this,
the following outcomes are expected to be as follows:
Through the review of literature, various theoretical frameworks related to the
project can be well understood so as to determine the overall impact of the
organizational change and the organizational culture on the organization as a
whole.
The research which will be conducted shall assist in finding the manner in which
the employees feel that the organizational culture and change generally tends to
have an impact on their overall operations (Alajmi, 2016). Additionally, it shall
also assist in determining the way in which the organization tends to change with
the change in the business environment and examines the manner in which this
assists in inducing the change within the organization.
Moreover, through the descriptive analysis and in depth insight into the employee
behavior and the factors which motivate they can be determined accordingly.
It is also expected that the hypothesis will be proven true as this would assist in
determining as well as verifying the impact of the organizational change and
culture change on the organizational performance.
Additionally, various theories related to change management, the organizational
culture and related subjects will be assessed which will be helpful in determining
the impact of the change culture and related aspects on the performance of the
employees (Castro & Martins, 2010).

9RESEARCH PROPOSAL
It is also expected that based on this analysis and the results which will be
derived out of the given study, certain set of recommendations would be provided
which would go a long way in determining the manner in which the Leadership
has a crucial role to play and assists in determining the how the leader can have
a major role to play and additionally, what steps can be taken in order to see to it
the organizational condition can be improved accordingly.
Conclusion
Therefore, from the given analysis, it can be rightfully mentioned that the
proposal threw light on the manner in which the organizational change and culture tends
to have a great impact on the manner in which the firm will be able to perform its overall
operations, The proposal followed a comprehensive format whereby the introduction
was followed by the justification of the research objectives and the questions. This was
then followed by the discussion of the research design, methodology and the data
collection along with the sampling techniques. This was then followed by certain sample
questions and based on this, the expected outcomes which will result from the study
was determined and assessed accordingly. Therefore, if these given steps are followed
in the right manner then the research can be carried out in a complete manner and in
line with this; the overall objectives of the study can be met with easily. The research
proposal also laid out the research hypothesis which would contribute towards testing
and veryfying the relationship between the independent and the dependent variables.
