INTRODUCTION
This present report is going to show different purpose and principles of different types
and forms of organizational communication. Different purpose and principles help the company
in achieving their main aim to facilitate interdepartmental cooperation within an organization.
Application of different principles like clarity, completeness also help an organization to
overcome all communicational barriers. Purpose and principles also work as an effective tool and
ways of measuring and overcoming al barriers such as feedback, attention. Further it will also
evaluate different practices of communication of other and themselves which also support them
in accomplishing their goals (Bovée, Thill and Raina, 2016). It has several practices and principles
of different forms and types of organizational communication like continuity, simplicity of
communication mode, response of the time also beneficial for the company.

Aim: To facilitate interdepartmental cooperation within an organization.
Organisational communication can be defined as a process of exchanging of information’s
between different departments and among people of the company. There are different types and
forms of organizational communication like formal, informal. On the basis of direction it
includes upward, downward and horizontal. Formal communication includes meeting,
conference, telephone calls etc. The main aim of this report is to facilitate interdepartmental
cooperation within an organization. This company has to face various problems and barriers in
the process of communication such as technological, culture, attitude and behaviour barrier.
According to the (Lewis, 2019) Different forms of organizational communication have several
purpose and principles which put pressure to the company to make communication effective. An
effective and different forms of communication make all people of the company able to interact
and share their views. The main purpose of organizational communication is to clearly define
company’s internal and external identity and make employees understand about all rules and
responsibilities.
In addition to (Luhmann, 2018) states that an effective communication for the company improves
coordination among employees. Coordination helps them in solving and decreasing barriers
which occurs in the path of their success.

people work so they find difficulties to understand each other’s views and interact. So the main

beneficial for employees. It increases employees critical thinking skills by which they can get
promotional opportunities and can satisfy their needs. On the other hand when the compan y
satisfy employees needs and demands then employees have more willingness and desire to stay
within an organization for the long run (Coetzer, 2018).

LO 5 Evaluation of communication practice of others and themselves
There are various communication practices which can help the company if they focus on
performing all the things according to all practices. Some practices of an effective organizational
communication includes creating plan and strategies, utilizing an accurate and authenticate
communication tools, make a fun working environment, encourage collaboration, response
quickly . By evaluating all practices of an effective communication of others and themselves, an
organization can facilitate interdepartmental communication within an organization.
(Bahr and et.al., 2017) It is evaluated that quick response practice of communication make all
employees able to solve difficult problems. There are 2 members involved in an communication
process such as an individual and a person who send messages is called sender and other one
who receives messages is called receiver. When receiver focus on quick response practice and
give quick reply of messages of other departments messages and customers queries then it can
make senders feel more valued and respected. This coordination can help them in improving
their interpersonal relationship and also can reduce errors from work.
