Recommendations
The essay has discussed about the need of decision making models within an
organization. There are basically two types of decision making model, this are classical and
behaviour based model and this is important to determine which is suitable for strategic
decision making. It is important to analyse the activity of managers at the time of
organizational crisis. Every organization faces some business crisis at a certain time and it
becomes difficult to overcome this situation. Thus it becomes important for managers to take
proper decision at such crucial times. In order to overcome certain situation it is important for
manager to create awareness about the crisis and need to take measures and implement proper
strategies that will help to overcome the situation. Maintaining proper communication and
continuously framing out the crisis (Pettigrew 2014). The manager needs to be ready to
maintain control over situation at high pressures even.
In order to overcome the situation the managers can implement proper decision
making model. The different approaches for decision making model includes classical
decision making model. The impact of this decision making model are going to be discussed
in this part. This model gives an idea and is widely used while making decision at certain
times. Moreover managers can get maximum economic benefit for organization after
implementing this approach. Behavioural decision making model is used by managers when
the problems are not surfaced and the information are limited. This improves the capability of
decision making at the time of uncertainty (Levin and Nolan 2014). The last approach is
intuitive decision model that helps in dealing with the situation in which precedents are not
clear and the organization is with limited facts.
The impact of classical decision making model includes clear definition of problem.
This helps the manager to understand about the problem at early stage and solve it. This helps

in determining the consequences of the problems faced and also develops an alternative
solution for this.
The impact of implementing behavioural decision making model the problems can be
understood and better decision making at critical times. A proper decision can be made only
when the manager is constantly capturing the situation and analysing it. There are four main
activities related to decision making, this includes intelligence activity, design activity, choice
activity and review of the decision made in past (Zsambok and Klein 2014). With the
implementation of this decision making model difficulties faced by managers to collect each
details of organization due to internal factors and external competitors can be understood
clearly. This will improve the decision making process and will impact the working of the
organization. The reason behind choosing behavioural decision making model is that it is
more realistic to use and responds to diversified situation well. The impact using this
approach includes defining a proper set of rules that offers decision making after evaluating
each situation, limitations, problems and constraints that are likely to be faced by a manager
while making any decision (Hickson et al. 2017). The managers are left with limited
resources and time during decision making process. With the implementation of this decision
making model with an organization the manager will be able to make decision that are highly
pragmatic in nature and also indicates that managers are also human beings and there are
some limitations to their decision making. This impacts are needed to be understood and
analysed properly so that proper decision can be made by managers. Each manager should
possess the capability to solve relax life problem effectively.
