INTRODUCTION
In the present assignment the role and impacts of the culture of an organization is
evaluated. The present report is focused on the analysis carried out on Marks and Spencer which
is a multinational brand image in world of clothing manufacturing. The culture also defines the
principles and the operational activities carried out within an organization.
ASSIGNMENT
Impacts of culture on an organization:-
The culture of a corporation defines and determines the value of the business activities
carried out in a business organization. This concept plays a crucial role in Marks and Spencer as
it is concerned with deriving the behaviour of the the individual, innovations brought in the
working and the customer service etc. (Ravasi and Schultz, 2006). The research explains that
culture is a potential competitive advantage, knowing that leadership behaviour, incentive plans
and reward system have direct impacts on the performance of the organization and also customer
service, retention and employee involvement, leading companies are using data and behavioural
information to manage and influence their culture. The concept also determines the success or
failure during the times of change, mergers acquisitions, development and the product cycles can
either succeed or fail depending on the alignment of culture with the business directions. When
the combined culture of business corporation changes, it is very much crucial to update mission
and vision statements (Schein, 2006), and also to ensure buy-in from the top management,
update controlling mechanisms and power hierarchies, hire HR of the desired culture and remove
those who are not and update the corporate ethos

The paradigm are the mission and vision statements ethics and the definitions of Marks

Organizational structures: This involves the hierarchy within of the organization.
