Introduction
The primary requirement of a business is to meet the targeted goals that has been
established at some point of the initial planning during the mission and vision of the
organisation. There are several reasons why this established goal and the accomplishment of
it becomes primary to the organisation come what may. However, the manager’s ability to
lead and Organisation and the employees within it is also an important factor to lead an
organisation through its success for reaching the established goal. The function of
management have several pillars that includes planning, organising, commanding,
coordinating and controlling which guides the modern approach of leading the employees
into establishment of the activities finally achieving the goal. As the associate of the software
company providing Customer services to over 500 businesses across United States, the
recruitment video for Zendesk is selected to analyse how the organisation has been utilising
the concepts of their organisational culture and structure to attract a potential candidate.
This video about the organisation would represent the organisational culture the
competitive advantage of the company and the structure of the organisation as well.
Organizational Culture
As it has been seen in the video, the organisation and its culture is extremely
accepting. Zendesk has been found to be an extremely e organised company where the
organisational culture includes the proper values and behaviour contributing to the
psychological environment of the business. As it has been found, the video has represented
that there are several people belonging from different cultural background working in the
organisation. They have even pointed out the fact that the recruitment policy does not include
the background of religious belief of a person. Instead, they encourage the employee to work
within the organisation and expect the organisation to be compassionate to them as well.

The organisational culture of Zendesk offers to make sure that the people within the
organisation are happy and cheerful. They allow people to work as a team and at the same
time not be intimidated by each other’s professional hierarchy levels. The event display An
engineering team where the voice over clearly specifies that some of them are managers and
sum of their not, but irrespective of the factor everybody seems happy and works as a team as
they do not care about the hierarchical positions within the team. The only goal that each
separate departments have is to fulfil the organisational target. The organizational culture
seems to be extremely accepting and also providing acceptance for bringing pets to the work
and even bringing children to work.
Competitive Advantage
Zendesk has several competitive advantages over the other organisation that includes
the naturally sources, the power utilization the labour management, the geographical location,
the access to technology and most importantly the leadership that makes the organisation
follow a strict but accepting environment maintained within the organisation. The
organisation just not works for the retaining of customers within the organisation but has
developed a team that works for retaining the employees. This particular factor is managed
by having a diverse and accepting work environment that includes the CEO of the
organisation to look into several matters for making sure the employees in the organisation
and working to their full potential and also working in an environment that is favourable for
them to see themselves working for this organisation for many years to come.
Organizational Structure
The organisational structure for this particular organisation has four basic elements
that every organisation has. This include the utilisation of functional, divisional, Matrix and
Flat organisational structure, out of which divisional structure based on product is what the
organisation focuses on most. Therefore the organisation works in a divisional structure that

is the workers are divided into several teams based on the products for the projects that they
are required to meet the needs of the customers.
For example, they have engineering team, support team, Information Technology
team, marketing team, creative directors’ team, sales and supervisor team, documentation
team, Finance, human resources, and executive team, which also includes the CEO of the
organisation. The CEO of the organisation appear to be a cheerful leader who encourages
people within the organisation to follow a culture dependent on the market, clan, adhocracy
and hierarchy. Even when hierarchy is existing within the organisation, the culture is more
empowered and the leadership excellence is seen within the organisation. Every team has
several hierarchical positions were not everybody on the team works at the same position but
this does not affect the working structure of the team. This is lead with extensive excellence
such that every member within the team is empowered.
Conclusion
Therefore in conclusion it can be said that the organisation of Zendesk has prepared a
video that categorically shows how the organisation has been working extremely well and
how efficiently its structure and culture is visible. Where are other organisations are
struggling to maintain a proper balance between the organisational culture and structure, this
organisation is apparently and extremely e forward organisation that includes cultural
diversity and empowered organisational structure. The people within the organisations are
found to be extremely happy. The video showcases how culturally and racially these people
are different from each other, but it does not fall into the account of the cultural orientation of
the organisation. The hierarchical placement of the people within the same team also does not
affect the team members as all of them are working towards a singular goal that the entire
organisation wants to achieve. Every person within the organisation is empowered within

themselves and are able to handle a team and what together rather than working as an
individual. This clearly showcases how the show has been effectively putting up with his
leadership to make sure that all the people within the organisation are happy and see
themselves working for a long time within the organisation.
