Organizational Effectiveness
External resources approach: Control
Pros: The determination of the effectiveness managers uses many indicators like stock price,
investment, or profitability. To attract customers managers or the higher authorities have
responsibilities that quality of services or products remains the same or well maintained
(Manoharan & Singhal , 2019).
Cons: This approach takes long time for the completion and it may reduce the morale of old
employee because new hiring reduces chances of promotion.
Internal System Approach: Innovation
Pros: Simply this approach is used to identify the flexibility of an organization. Mangers
motivate their employees and maintain the coordination with the other department of
organization as well.
Cons: This approach become challenge for the new start-ups because of the lack in the structure
or financial capacity to grow the innovation.
Technical Approach: Efficiency
Pros: Productivity of the organization is the critical indicator used to analyze the efficiency from
operation of production. In this strategy manager examines the amount of sales for per employee,
ratio of the produced goods and sold goods, productivity given by the employees etc. (Somech &
Naamneh , 2019).
Cons: If proper record will not maintain by the managers related to performance of employees or
organizational function than it will lead to failure of the achieving goals or targets, it may cause
loss to the company as well.
Choice of Approaches
From the above approaches as a Dean of UNT CoB external approach which reflects the control
in an organization will be suitable. Activity conducted by the management of a college is
controlled and responsibility is executed by the dean of college. Dean looks over the number of
admission in a year and the investment which has to be done in college. For every college
students are the main pillars to generate revenue. If the admission in the college is satisfactory

than; it will support to generate the revenue also cost of professors or other staff members can be
managed properly. Apart from that college needs funds for the development and to organize
programs. For the funds management of the college can approach the brands or other
organization who can invest in the college by becoming trustee. If the infrastructure and facilities
provided by college are found to different from other colleges; than it will attract the students.
Inside and Outside Stakeholder groups
For UNT CoB, outside stakeholders groups can be considered to Students, Parents, Alumni, local
community, media, donors and foundations whereas the inside stakeholders are professors, staff
members, current student, trustees.
Inside Stakeholders: Inside stakeholder plays critical role for any organization or industry as
they are responsible for the production and results which are conducted in the organization. For
UNT CoB by considering the staff members it could be described. If the staff members including
the teaching and non-teaching will be satisfied with the management; than they will attain
motivation to work for the growth of the college.
Outside Stakeholders: The new students can be considered as the outside stakeholders for the
growth and development of college, more the number of new admissions more the generation of
revenue.
Recommendation: For creating the ethical environment in the college management should
consider the concerns of inside stakeholders. Management of college should ensure about the
payroll of staff members should be done on time, it motivates them. While for students the
college should take care about arrangement of the academic and non-academic programs. These
programs helps students to get motivate and show their skills apart from the studies (Jones ,
2013).
Organizing in a changing global environment
Resource dependence theory: It is the study which describes about the effect of external
resources on the behavior of an organization. This theory plays crucial role for the strategic and
tactical tasks of the organization. This theory can be helpful for the college in order to fulfill its
goal and targets. There are four types of arrangement can be made for the symbiotic

independence which helps to develop a coordination between the stakeholder and an
organization. They are mentioned below:
i. Reputation
ii. Cooptation
iii. Strategic alliance
iv. Merger and Take over
This arrangement helps the organization to control the resources so that a linkage can be
developed between the stakeholder and organization (Jones , 2019).
