INTRODUCTION
Ethical management refers to a practice of being virtuous and honest in every role within
an organization. This report is based on PRIMARK that is a leading fast fashion retailing
company along with subsidiary of British food processing with ABF Company. In present
scenario frequent changes in media, communication, and transport, technology that develops the
world economy and helps company to gain profitable results. This report undertakes ethical
definition and theories along with their relevance to modern business. It also inculcates
evaluation of factors that influence organizational ethics and impact on CSR within international
perspective.
ASSESSMENT 1
Ethical definition
Ethics are defines as moral philosophy that includes systematizing, defending and
recommending concepts based on right or wrong behavior (Schaltegger and Burritt, 2018).
Business ethics refers to a study of effective business policies and practices that involves several
practices like corporate governance, bribery, discrimination, corporate social responsibility and
many more. Ethics offers guidelines to businesses which they follow to gain pubic approval.
Business ethics are the rules and regulations that reflects pattern of behavior in business
dealings so that it would done in a right manner (Jukić and Puljak, 2018). In terms of Primark
that is an international brand effectively understand ethical responsibility and what is right and
wrong that helps in gaining public approval along with employee’s satisfaction so that profitable
results are enjoyed by firm. In Primark concern related to public or employees are bound in
implementing ethical practices such as honesty, integration, trust, loyalty etc.
Ethical theories
There are several ethical theories that are useful in terms of international perspective.
Some ethical theories are demonstrated below:
Deontological theory-It refers to that ethical theory that means duty. In this commitment
or duty is the core concept. Deontological theory state that some actions and activities are

right not because it is beneficial to self or other person but because of its basic nature that
associated with it (Wolf, 2018). For instance- Discrimination among members are wrong
irrespective of their result and actions. This theory is based on several moral rules which
are present below:
o Duties of beneficence- This rules reflects that an individual perform or do their
work that improve the condition of other people.
o Duties of Fidelity- In this organization need to develop trust and loyalty among
stakeholders by maintaining transparency. For instance- Primark is a leading
company that works internationally. In this manager focus on developing trust and
loyalty among stakeholders, such as shareholders, employees, customers etc. by
keeping promises and telling the truth related to company.
o Duties of justice- In this company ensure that they supply goods and services that
are beneficial for people and society. For instance- Primark is the company that
are committed to offer best possible values to public because they emphasis on
longer sustainability.
Utilitarianism theory- It define to that ethical theory which reflects practice that present
happiness and confront those actions that causing harm to public and society. It directs
the betterment of whole society (Linder and et. al., 2020). It is based on two moral
aspects that are:
o Action utilitarianism- In this business actions are rights it it present high level of
happiness over pain to everyone. For instance- Primark is highly committed to
value for customers for this they ensures that their employees are also treated well
in working premise. It reflects high level of goodness over pain.
o Rule Utilitarianism- In these actions of an organization or a person is right if
they accepted rules properly to reflect high level of pressure over harm. For
instance- Primark involves in ethical training initiative to improve the lives of
workers so that they produce goods to customers efficiently. It reflects high level
of pressure over pain.

There are several factors which influence organizational ethics in terms of international
perspectives are presented below:
Personal code of ethics- It is a core factor that influences organizational ethics. It refers
to that where an individual person or company set rules or principles to govern decision
making activity by examine what is right or wrong (Andreicovici and et. al., 2020). For
example- Company like Primark focus on supply quality goods to customers and for this
they take decisions related to production of offerings in off season by refusing it on
season because it considers high cost.
Rules and regulations- It is another factor that influences business ethics. In terms of
Primark, they follow code of conducts that are based on international Labor organization
code. It helps in completing the work in ethical manner along with satisfying employees.
This will create opportunity for people to work freely and securely.
Impact of CSR in international perspective
Beneficial for company sustainability- In international perspective, CSR play a vital
role because it impact firm sustainability in positive manner (Sibinga, 2018). For
instance- Primark company indulge in following CSR policies by providing employment
opportunities to people , pay taxes on time etc. helps organisation to sustain for a longer
time in global market along with gaining trust of public and stakeholders.
Gaining competitive advantage- Implementing CSR Impact Company in positive
manner who are working internationally. It helps company to gain competitive advantage
and earning high profitable results.
Ethical related legislation that impact upon organizational accountability
Ethical related legislation is reflecting as a process of interaction between legislature and
society. Several ethical related legislation that impacts a organizational accountability is
demonstrates below:
Human rights- In this business Enterprise focus on offering rights to their employees
who works on international level. In this they provide freedom to employees, equality

accountability. In this they offer rights to women and men who work freely within
company.
Health and safety law-It is a core ethical related legislation which is adopted by
organization for safety of employees who are working within a working environment
(Gonzalo, San-Jose and Retolaza, 2019). For instance- In terms of Primark , manager
ensures that factory workers got proper safety related to fire equipment along with proper
ventilation, providing training to employees related to how to use equipments etc. all
these factors are treated carefully that reflects as a ethical practice within company.
Critically evaluate factors that influence organizational ethics including legal
requirements and need of stakeholders
From above analysis it is critically evaluated that factors which influence organizational
ethics such as personal code of ethics, rules and regulations etc. along with legal requirements
are highly beneficial for Primark growth and development. As Primark also working ethically
that does not harm any stakeholder’s sentiments. As company works on international platform
where they ensures that every working employees are getting satisfied with the working so that
they offers quality products to customers. As company follow codes of conducts based on ILO
that helps in fulfilling legal requirements like freedom of work to employees, equality pay etc.
hence, it is positively affect company operations. On the other hand, factors that influence ethics
are highly costly for company that impact firm overall cost.
Consider impact of organization ethics on CSR and organizational accountability
In Primark manager follow ethical rules and practices such as honesty, trust, transparency
etc. that impacted CSR policies and organizational accountability of company in positive
manner. In terms of CSR, Primark offers employment opportunities, playing tax timely etc. that
are beneficial for society. Follow proper business ethics also impact positively on organizational
accountability because due to ethics business enterprise attains their vision and goals on timely.
In this they satisfy workers with working environment that helps company employees to become
responsible towards achieving goals and objectives. It also helps manager to take decisions that
fulfills society expectations on global level.
