carried out by the management positions and the key functions which tends to happen within the
company. The employees within the company has been specifically grouped within the
department on the basis of speciality, skills and other related roles. This structure has been used
for the new organization because it is useful in significantly developing the key specialized set
of roles. It is also significant in effectively boosting up the each individual department and also
focuses on attaining self- sufficiency as well as the key innovation. The functional organizational
structure is relevant in effectively scaling up the work easily in order to attain the common goals
and the objectives. It is useful in effectively offering high degree of specialization and helps in
improving the staff working skills within the health and social care setting. This organizational
structure is prominent for the new organization in enhancing the work efficiency and also tends
to improve the business productivity with the specialized set of skills and technology. It helps the
department to focus and excel in their area of work and specialize in their task. It is also useful in
improving the operational speed and also ensures clarity. It helps in stating clear line of
management and helps the employees to understand their roles and responsibilities within the
heath and social care setting. It is also considered to be highly significant in effectively setting
the definite set of relationship between the divided units of the health and social care company. It
is relevant in the establishment of the attainment of the common gaols and objectives and
improves the operational efficiency. The functional organizational structure also focuses on

From the study it has been summarized that, managing change is one of the key role
which has been performed by the healthcare manager in health and social care. Change
management is prominent because it is useful in effectively offering the best possible solution to
the problem. The healthcare manager mainly oversees the operations and activities of the each
departments. The healthcare manager must focus on fostering an environment to provide the
best possible quality services. Organizational culture is considered to be as the specific set of
internal values and key behaviours within the organization. As per the Handy theory, there are
four types of culture which mainly includes power, role, person and task. Functional
