INTRODUCTION
Management challenges is the term which refer as the issues faced by company in order
to successfully manage business resources and activities (Stapelberg, 2020). It is essential for
organisation to analyse and evaluate different challenges and issues in order to take correct set
and action for successfully business functioning. This report is based on Marks and Spencer
company. This company was developed in 1884 year and it is providing its products and services
to different market area. Founder of this organisation is Michael Marks and Thomas Spencer.
This report will includes different organisational issues which influence over business practices.
Impact of organisational issues has been determined along with different ways to overcome this
issues.

There are different issues and problems that is faced by organisation due to lack of
effective management. Increase in organisational issues will lead to have direct impact on
business practices and influence over business practices. In more significant manner. It is
essential for Marks and Spencer company to take correct action in order to overcome these
issues as well create effective strategies. The major issues that is faced by respective company is
mention below in more detail -
Lack of motivation – This can be describe as the issues which occur in company due to
less motivation practices. Motivation can be describe as the practices of organisation that is
essential for managing and influencing employees in more significant manner. Due to lack of
motivation factor respective business face various issue and problems for effectively and

and skills to successfully and effectively conducting business practices. Motivated employees are
able to conduct business practices in better manner as compare to employees with lack of
motivation. Marks and Spencer company is not able to identify the needs of employees in order

These issues will lead to have impact on performance and effectiveness of business. It is
important for business to identify the impact of organisational issues on overall functioning of
business. This will help respective company to develop better and effective strategy that is
helpful in successfully dealing with the issues as well as minimizing the impact of organisational
issues successfully. Impact of management challenges on Marks and Spencer company is

Performance – Lack of motivation will lead to have direct impact on performance of

This model is developed by Abraham Maslow and purpose of creating this model is to
providing direction and guidance to business (Kadoić and et.al., 2020). According to this model,
organisation should consider different needs and wants of employees in order to successfully
increase performance of employees. This is the hierarchy model that includes different stages of
employees needs and wants. Maslow theory includes different elements which is significant for
motivation. As per this model, there are five major categories of needs that is physiological,
safety, love and belongingness, esteem and self actualization. All of these are essential needs of
individual which is significant for increase capability as well as motivating employees in most
significant manner. Different five categories of need is mention below in detail - Physiological need – This can be describe as the first and basic need of individual in that
includes water, food, shelter and so on. It is essential for Marks and Spencer company to
carry out different practices in order to meet with physiological need. This step of
Maslow theory is significant for motivating employees as well as boosting performance
of employees. For example respective company needs to provide facilities to employees
in order to meet with full fill the physiological needs of employees. Safety need – Once physiological needs of employees are full filled the will focus on
meeting with the safety and security needs. This is crucial needs need order to provide
better facilities to employees which is helpful in maintaining safety and security of
employees while conducting business task (Chang, Iakovou and Shi, 2020). In order to
meet with the safety need of employees Marks and Spencer company needs to
maintaining safe working environment with in organisation so that they can successfully
performing business practices. This is effective for maintaining and supporting staff well-
being as well as boosting motivation of employees. Love and belongingness need – This is consider as the third need of employees and in
this respective company is focusing of meeting with social need of employees. It is
important that respective company is enhancing employee engagement activities with in
