Followed by this identification it is observed that the due to this behavior of the project
manager, the worker of the same project are following two different work culture which holds a
significant impact on the performance effectiveness of the project teams.

In this project distance has majorly impacted the team performance as it is identified from
the case study that this project has two teams located in France and United states. The physical
distance of the teams are negatively influencing the team performance by impacting the cohesion
and communication between the team members as these two dynamics are very important to

Answer:
Decision of appointing sub-team sponsors are effective as this strategy could mitigate the
team conflict by assisting in communication within the team as well as to improve the
understanding of the team tasks (Chen & Rybak 2017). Thus, it can be stated that this is one of
the best action towards improving the team performance as it could solve significant problems
like team communication, and offers variety of alternatives with the purpose to solve the
problems of the team members. However, in the nominated case scenario it would be very
difficult to enhance the trust factor with the leader by appointing sub-sponsors.
Question 4: In addition to technical skills, what does this case say about the kinds of skills
that must be considered when staffing important projects?

Along with the focusing on the technical skills of this project it is very essential to
concentrate on the professional skills as this project has mostly suffered due to lack of leadership
skill and very poor professional knowledge (Hochhauser, Weiss & Gal 2018). Thus, it I very
essential to focus on these factors while staffing as this could impact the performance of the
teams significantly.
