forces model which is required to perform as in order to understand the various factors related to
the organic farm it may be competitor environment and their purchasing power etc. the five
forces model will help to describe and evaluate the five different factors which helps in
determining the industry competition(Palaniappan and Annadurai, 2018). The porter five forces
can be applied to the food and retail industry which is looking towards the bargaining power of
the buyers, bargaining power of the suppliers, competitive rivalry in the same industry, and the
threat of new entrants of the industry substitution. They all are required to analyses and
understand carefully and efficiently to understand and ascertain the future growth of the business
and development of the farm. The organza needs to ascertain all the five forces effectively. The
porters five forces are explained as :-
Threat of new entrants
Advanced technologies are required in the organic farming so to prevent the
products(fruits, crops, vegetables) from any diseases and pesticides. The products need to
organic and for preventing them and making it healthier and beneficial for the customers it is
requires taking efficient and proper care of the products by using advanced technology so that
Organza unit Will be able to face the competition and can generate a strong brand image.
The barriers of new entrants can be imposed by strengthening and the distribution
infrastructure and also the supply chain framework. The barrier can also be imposed by the
gaining cost advantage and low cost leadership(Willer and Lernoud, 2017). The threat to new
entrants can also be from the differentiation of the product, strength if the capital investment,
strong loyalty of the customers towards the product for the existing players.
This can be summarizes as flows:
capital and labour intensive techniques Trained manpower availability
commies of scale

no cost advantages
technology protection
optimum utilization of resources
overall barriers to entry
Threat of substitution
The organic farm, has a threat of availability of the substitute products which can cause
the existing product in danger as their may be availability of their products which is close
substitute of the existing product which directly affects the cost price and profit margin of the
company as customers will get attracted towards the product which is offering them the great
benefits at lower and cheaper prices as the buyers get ore options for purchasing the product
which able to satisfy their need and wants at cheaper price(Feber, Johnson and Macdonald,2019).
For this, competitors and company need to keep their prices low for retaining customers for long
run and hence also affects the profitably of the organic business.
Bargaining power of the buyers
Buyer is the firms and individuals who are the ultimate purchaser of the organic food.
Bargaining power of buyer is expected to be higher as they are the individuals having scope for
switching from one supplier to another. If the quantity of the buyer is large than they are having
at high purchasing power as there is easily availability of the substitutes with better price
offerings. Hence, buyers are the price sensitive and little change may leads to lose of the
customer to the unit.
Bargaining power of the suppliers
Suppliers are the individual or firms who intended to supply the inputs to the industry
players. The inputs can be in form of raw materials, man, finance, technology related support to
the players(Andersen and et.al., 2015). There are many factors which can determine the
bargaining power of the suppliers their bargaining power is expected to be high if the quality
they are providing is unique and better. The factors through which bargaining power of the
supplier is high can be the uniqueness and better quality inputs to the players, the quality they are
offering and the demand for that particular inputs can leads to increase in the bargaining power
of the suppliers.
Intensity of competitive rivalry
25
.
Document Page
The higher the intensity of the competitive rivalry in the industry leads to the lesser
profitability to the firm. That is if Organza's competitors have higher intensity than it leads to
lesser profitability for the Organza in farming sector, the intensity of the competitor rivalry is
affected by many factors which includes:
Gaining competitive edge over counterparts by achieving economies of scale in
production of organic goods.
Stiff competition rivalry among the established players
Intensification of competition with new players
Pricing of the products, service quality etc.
High competition rivalry is considered as threat as it weakens up the profit aspects and the
prices(Lim and et.al., 2015). Whereas low competitive rivalry can be viewed as opportunity it
will open up the avenues' foe maximizing the profits of the firms.
Market feasibility
Market feasibility is basically the study of investigation of the target market which helps
in identifying the potential threats and finding out the solution to overcome the threats. The basic
purpose for the feasibility study pf market of the organic farm is to determine the factors that will
create and generate the business opportunity which can be presented as a case for the business
success(Mishra and et.al., 2017). It helps in determining the depth and condition of a particular
real estate market and its ability to support a particular development for market feasibility study
the company needs to adopt some steps which are required to undertake for effective feasibility
study. The steps include:

Break even analysis is the technique which is widely used by the production management
and management accountants as the total variable and foxed cost are compared with the sales
revenue to determine the level of sales volume, sales value or the level of the production at
which business is making no profit nor loss. Break even analysis is situation or a point where
business is at no profit no loss situation which means that the company is not making any profit
or nor making any losses(Palaniappan and Annadurai, 2018). Company's sales value is just equal
to its cost that is they got prevented from any loss and also not able to generate extra profit on
above he sales value. Its cost and profits are equal and the point where the cost of the production
is equal to the sale value that point is said to be the break even point. Above this point company
will start declining its profit. It is a financial calculation which is used to determine the number
of products or services company needs to sell to at least cover at least the costs of the product.
Break even analysis include fixed costs and variable costs to ascertain the actual cost of the
production . Fixed cost is the cost which does not vary with the change in the level of the output
and are not directly related with the production which means that at the zero level of output fixed
cost will remain the same. Fixed cost can be alter in the case of long run only. Some examples of
the fixed costs are- rent, depreciation etc. whereas variable cost is the cost which varies with the
change in level of production or output. As it is directly Related to the level of the output. The
amount of the production organization is doing, the variable cost incurred accordingly. After
ascertaining the fixed and variable costs they are compared with the level of sale volume, sales
value or production at which the business s is not making any profit nor loss is said to e the break
even point.

Risks management
Risks management is the process of identifying, assessing, evaluating and controlling the
threats to organization. Risk can caused to the organization from many sources including
financial risks, uncertainties, legal liability, strategic management errors, natural disasters,
accidents, etc. There are many ways through which Organza can manage the risk that may
include:
Accepting the risk
Avoiding the risk transferring the risk
Mitigating the risk
Exploiting the risk
These are some ways through which risks can be managed in the organisation(Hopkin, 2018).
They also need to identify, analyse, evaluate and monitor the risk so that they can prevent and
safeguard their position by eliminating and controlling the risks. The purpose of the risk is to
identify the potential problems before they cause in organisation so that risk handling activities
can be planned and mitigate adverse impacts on achieving the organisational objective sand
goals.
The company needs to hedge their positions from the risk as higher risk leads to higher
return if taken into the right direction. It is not necessary that higher risk will always bring higher
return the company needs to analyse and evaluate the risk and their outcome so that they will be
able to hedge their position in case of projected negative outcomes(Glendon and Clarke, 2015.).
There are different types of risk in which may be faced by the unit and they are :strategic risk,
compliance risk, operational risk, financial risk, reputations risk, competitive risk, economic risk,
legal risk, program risk and many other risks which are required to be faced by the organization
for the smooth flow of its business Without hedging the position n, organisation any note be able
to preform their activities and operations efficiently and may leads to non achievement of the
organisational goal.

recent trade. In secondary data there is no need to meet people
personally as the information is collected from journals and
articles which saves time and cost . I feel the this method will
give adequate results as there no favouritism and biasses.
The resources which I have considered for organic
farming are physical, human and financial resources as these
are the backbone of the business. The physical resources
include land, human resource include labour and financial
resource include money. I have analysed that the distribution
system of the company need to be effective as it helps the
company to sustain in the market with success.
The sale of organic products of Organza farm unit will
be promoted through social media platforms and will be
advertised through hoardings and posters. In the same series, if
customer has any queries related to quality of product then
company will address their issues and will work on their
feedbacks . The concern of every customer is to buy organic
products at low cost . Customers need organic vegetables and
fruits at low cost which cannot meet the fixed cost of the
business that includes rent of land, electricity etc. Therefore by
keeping this point in my mind I have kept price of my products
low. The main revenue generation of the business is from
hotels when they need organic products to serve to their
customers. The organic fruits and vegetables provided by the
business is really fresh, have no pesticides and is chemical free
with no added colour.
With section of business plan, there is analysis of all
business operations with all the funds available according to
business requirement. I have estimated all the fixed and
variable cost and revenue generation of the business over a
particular period of time. The entire business would be set up

in 10 months as 2 months in the beginning would go for
market research of the plan to know the feasibility of the plan.
The other 3 months would go for select an appropriate farm
and its location to carrying out the business. The other 2
months will cover arrangements of funds in which ill get
money from bank in the form of loan and in next 3 months I
will recruit the staff and will start marketing the products and
in year end the business will have grand opening and will start
implementing its operations.
