INTRODUCTION
Orientation in education means teaching students those skills which help them to manage
their university life by balancing the two aspects of their personal and academic life. This e
portfolio will include my understandings about the cultural and behavioral expectations of
studying a degree in business management along with the importance of connecting with others
to enhance the learning experience and to demonstrate how this will impact my further studies
and career opportunities while applying it in my real life experiences.
MAIN BODY
1. Cultural and behavioural expectations of studying for a degree in business management:
Having a degree in business management helps in the understanding of how the
markets and the marketing industry works overall in the global environment. With the
help of the module, I understood and got the idea about how culture differences affect the
thinking of people and the region they belong to. It was also experienced that students
from different cultures and behavior might not have anything in common and have to
adapt to many changes during their business management course as it will help them in
their future endeavours. When there are priorities set on students’ behavioural pattern,
then it becomes essential to reflect on the classroom behavior management and the tutors
are required to keep in mind the influences of culture and behavioural expectations for
the degree in business management.
According to my personal thought about this matter, culture has a very powerful impact
on one’s perspective of studying the business management in context of how student outlooks
the business environment. I have a very prominent aspect about this matter as a student that the
behavioual expectations make people feel valued and recognized which can further result in the
business success. In order to have a successful business career it is important to have an effective
business strategy to operate that will value different cultures and behaviours of people
(Shepherd. 2019). The main point focused and implemented by me in my real life experience
will be about the study of human approaches and dimensions found in the business management.
It will include all the aspects of how human mentality acts and reacts to various tasks and affairs
of their business world and how do they achieve their common goals and objectives.

2. The importance of peer to peer support and team working:
With the help of this session it was understood by me that how useful and
advantageous it is to connect with others as a team and how it can influence me in my
future studies and advances. For the welfare of students, peer support in the learning
process can improve ideas and beliefs of students in collaborative working and engaging
in various activities to achieve higher success points. It made me aware about the
experience a teacher can hold in making the students realize the importance of self-
confidence and presence of mind. According to me, this will develop my logical and
critical thinking in completing team assignments and help me in my self-education and
better academic performance. It can result in effective and efficient group sessions,
identifying solutions to a problem together and conducting surveys to further enhance the
leaning area experience.
In real life experiences, my learnings about this matter will be acknowledged in
the form of practicing peer to peer learning to prepare myself for the future endeavours
and present situations too. This advanced system of learning is highly suitable as it
expected to foresee the future requirements of the technologies and innovations in
carrying out various activities that have now become a necessity. Keeping in mind the
recent trends in education and learning system, utilizing the available frameworks for
community learning and benefiting from the relationship of both teacher and student will
be an advisable thing (Healy. Doran. and McCutcheon. 2018). The concerned institutions
can also be approached with a view to encourage more interactions and connections
between both the groups of teacher and students among themselves. It even helps in the
motivation and encouragement of taking u challenges and proving themselves in a
cooperative manner to enhance productivity.
3. How the learnings will impact further studies and future career:
From what I have learnt and experienced through these learning modules and I
would like to share that these will have a great impact on my future endeavours as it will
help me to gain knowledge, skills, and expertise in both my career and personal life. The
degree in business management will help me in increasing my fundamental management
skills and to improve my business credibility. From the above guidance of cultural and
behavioural expectations of the degree, it is understood that how important it is to abide

by the terms and conditions of behavior, and interactions with fellow mates, tutors and
others involved. In accordance to my future plans of being in the business field, it will
help me in leading and presenting my hard earned management skills with the help of
these modules.
I would like to apply and implement these skills, knowledge and professionalism
through the means of disciplines and specialties found in this particular field by learning
about these and applying in the real life experiences. These will be beneficial enough by
being participative in the extra-curricular activities that will enhance the area of success
(Ansari. and Khan. 2020). I will always try something new and challenging which will
give me knowledge about how the business functions work and what are its various
operational activities that will guide me through all the aspects of the business field. In
order to collaborate with the peers and prove myself to be an obedient learner, I will
constantly try to grab all the possible opportunities that come my way and to pass through
every upcoming situation, whether favourable or not. With the help of this professional
course, further activities can also be indulged in the course of action to have an influential
recognition in the future.
4. How will you practice and apply what is being learnt:
With my understandings of the topic, I have learnt that culture and behavioural
aspects are more specific and broader than these seem to be and are used to characterize
the way of living the life. The degree in business management made me aware of
professionalism that is an important essential ensuring the proper usage of time and other
available resources. The creative approach to problem solving, better determination and
analyzation of cultural and beavioural aspects of different regions and people and the
ability to make timely and quick decisions with the help of critical and innovative
thinking capacity. Having a possession of this degree can help the aspirants of different
business areas to learn and study about peer to peer support to enhance their learning
experience in order to further utilize the knowledge gained from these effective modules.
In the course of applying what is being learnt, I will try to achieve my desired and
set goals and objectives that were taught to me. The professional development regarding
culture, etiquettes, behaviours, etc. can help in gaining personal strengths of managing
time, resources that can help in highlighting the healthy forms of social control and to

know how these can be effectively measured to solve problems. It is quite essential the
need of more self-confidence and assured social interaction with the peers and tutors even
after becoming successful as it can result in the future development of my business career
and recognition. For the business career to work successfully, I will maintain a
professional relations and courtesy with my instructors and fellow peers to encourage
further relations and to increase self-esteem. This fosters the need to evaluate cultural
expectations that influence people’s nature and behaviour in order to understand their
beliefs and how do they differ from one another.
5. SWOT Analysis:

life may
impose a threat
on my career
as a business
and marketing
manager as
there are no
fixed
circumstances
to be faced.
The above SWOT analysis of learning and career building of a student highlights
the positive and negative impacts that students face in the process of attaining a degree in
business management and other fields (SWOT ANALYSIS. 2022). The students are
required to carefully analyze the areas of their strengths and weaknesses and they should
compare it with the uncertain opportunities and threats they might face in the course of
achieving higher success rates and to enhance their higher education levels.

CONCLUSION
With the above determination and evaluation of orientation for success in higher education in the
form of e portfolio, it is now concluded that the understanding of behavioural and cultural expectations is
very essential in pursuing the degree of business management as it helps the students to understand the
importance of various aspects such as team work, collaboration, performance, engagement, etc. It further
helps in the development of future capabilities of the students and their career growth.
