2. a. Project Description
Globex Corp has won a project that involves developing a web based stud farm management
system. Globex has in turn contacted Virtucon who has a history of being a trusted developer
of Globex for working together on the project in order to make the OSFMS a reality. The
core aim for the project is to carry out the system development so as to automate several
manual processes. The company behind OSFMS currently manages the bookings manually
and this has caused those issues with respect to errors, slow processing time and static
database.
MOV statement - The new proposed system would in all likelihood overcome the issues that
are associated with the existing system thereby also increasing quality and speed.

ICT is a demanding field in terms of management skills that is essential and therefore the
project manager involved with an ICT project should have a variety of skills at his disposal.
These include communication skills, managerial skills, creative skills, problem solving skills,
timely-efficient decision making skills and effective scheduling and resource management
skills (Westland, 2016). Also, apart from this he should have an understanding of risk as any
kind of risk could creep into the project which may require referring to risk management
guidelines to resolve it (Mmu, 2016).
All of the roles and responsibilities in the project were properly defined and were also
mapped with all the relevant skill sets in order to avoid confusion. The entire team worked
towards the success of the project as a single unit ensuring cohesiveness and smooth
communication. The team was also ready for taking up the accountability and responsibility
for any kind of issues or any failures as a single unit. There were enough resources to meet
project objectives as the estimation of efforts were done properly.
Interactions among the participants are effectively managed using communication guidelines
and methods. The perspective and needs of the individual participant was also considered in
the entire process. The organization also provides support via regular interactions with the
team as well as employee friendly benefits with employee assessment processes. There is also
confidence between team members so as to improve the project activities as well as the
processes. There are various mechanisms in place that ensures measures are being taken for
continuous improvement of the processes and activities of the project.
Conclusion
The report has clearly defined the objectives of proposed project wherein roles and
responsibilities are defined which has prepared a base for next step of the project. Along with
this, meeting agendas have been framed which is a good strategy in tracking the progress of
project. The team has also framed learning cycles along with communication plan which acts
as conflict resolver among team members.
