1. Project Description:
The project is based on the case study Online Stud Farm Management System (OSFMS).
For the development in the OSFMS, Globex has contracted Virticon for developing and
managing the project. It is a newly development Farm and since Globex as a long-standing
client of Virtucon, it has made the contract with them and plan to develop the farm. The
OSFMS will be develop in house by the Globex and they will make sure that the solution of
this project is on time and with less expenses as much it is possible taking into consideration
that the requirement of the project is met.
The current Manual Systems of the Stud Farm will be replacing by the OSFMS as this
process handle the information with open error and it is unsustainable. In Manual Systems,
breeders book the services by call or mail and the stud manager has to record them in the
spreadsheet and accept the payment by cheque or credit cards. Now, the breeder will be able
to book and make the payment for services through online platform or from any mobile
devices. The system will be generating breeder’s details, payments, stud details and reports.
The breeder still has an additional option of calling the Stud Manager and booking the
services over phone as per the need arises. The project report in this study will consider
several factors such as the breeding features, financial features and mobile features.
2. Part One:
2.1 Measurable Organizational Value (MOV)
The goal of the project is to develop the Online Stud Farm Management System
(OSFMS) and it will define the value that the Virticon team will provide to the Globex
client.
2.2 Area of impact
The impact of the project will be rank based on the importance as follow:

Customer: The Breeder of Globex can adopt Online Stud Farm Management System
(OSFMS) to book their services and make the payment online. It can reduce the effort to call
and wait to get the things done manually.
Social: The new Online Stud Farm Management System is easy to book services
between the clients and communicate effectively and smoothly with less time consume.
Strategy: Every details of the breeding report that are booked and all the payment
made are being properly recorded in this newly built Online Stud Farm Management System
Operational: The operation become easier for the Stud Farm as it uses the OSFMS
online system to store their details in the database. The Stud Manager can easily get the
details of any breeder simply by acquiring the information from the database.
Financial: The OSFMS system is designed in such manner that it can help in making
the payment quickly by the breeder and keeping the records of the payment made by the
breeders.
2.3 Types of Value
According to the project being develop following are the types of value being
identified:
Better: The system has improved the manual record to online entry, which has been
helpful for the Stud Manager to check through the records
Faster: The process has been faster and quick, quick booking and making payment
with any much delay
Do more: The client would definitely consider the online system for the growth of
their services.
