Introduction
The business conditions of the Hong Kong market is very much dynamic in nature
and there are regular technological advancements in the field of cloud computing (). Outblaze
is a holding business organization that was set up in Hong Kong having the primary motive
of providing business related solutions with the proper utilization of digitalized media and
cloud computing depending completely upon the web based applications (Meredith, Mantel
Jr and Shafer, 2017). Outblaze had begun services in the year of 1998, when Outblaze served
all of its clients with web-hosted services such as webmail, chat, file sharing, messages and
lists of mailing. However, with the solutions related to the digitalized field, Outblaze had a
major impact upon the technological environment of Hong Kong prevailing towards the
positive aspects of evolution in the business world. In relation to the impact that Outblaze had
upon the business environment of the Hong Kong, the project has been undertaken by clearly
mentioning the entire plan upon which the project has been done (Kerzner, 2017). In addition
to this, the objectives, resources, costs, time and the risks related to the project have been
clearly stated in accordance to the undertaken project.

Task 1
1.1. Devise project aims and objectives for investigating Outblaze impacting the
technological environment in Hong Kong (P1)
In order to develop the project, the researcher need to identify the specific aim of
objective for narrow down the research area (Schwalbe, 2015). The aim of the undertaken

research is to identify the underlying impact of the current growth of Outblaze on the
technological environment in Hong Kong.

The objectives of that this project are:

 To identify the impact of Outblaze on other business organizations in Hong kong

1.2. Produce a project management plan that covers aspects of cost, scope, time, quality,
communication, risk and resources (P2 and M1)
Project Management Plan: This project had been initially undertaken to
successfully meet the objectives laid down during the initial phase of the same. In addition to

this, the project plan has been properly analysed and undertaken having a complete
accordance to the same. The objectives aligned to the project such as carrying out a brief
study of the current situation of Outblaze prevailing in Hong Kong, how Outblaze had an
impact on the business environment as well as the challenges being posed towards the
succession of Outblaze on impacting Hong Kong and the related business organizations
(Heagney, 2016). Aim of the project has been devised in regards to the objectives that have
been stated. Costs and the time taken for the project have been briefly identified and stated
with correct facts and figures. Along with this, quality of the project, the communication that
shall be efficiently carried out as well as the potential risks posed towards the project have
been stated. Lastly, the resources gathered and required for the project has also been taken
into consideration (Harrison and Lock, 2017). The project has been planned and categorized
under primary phases namely, Proposal Phase, Reviewing the Literature, Collection of Data,
Data Analysis and developing the final research of the project.
Project Cost: The cost of the project is HKD 25,500. There are many activities carried
out to complete the project and the project cost is divided into several parts to complete the
project.

Project Scope: The primary scope of this project is the identification of the
technological impact of Outblaze in Hongkong.
Project Time: The time required for this 160 days, the detailed scheduling of this
project shall be illustrated in the Gnatt chart table which will be presented in the later section
of this paper.
Project Quality:
Quality referring to a project needs to be considered in order to successfully deliver
the project by adhering to the successful completion of the same. The limitations that have
been identified while carrying out the project in terms of Outblaze have been properly treated
with the required techniques of mitigation (Kerzner, 2018). In addition to this, all of
resources have been properly listed down that will be required while carrying out the project
in order to nullify further delays to the project. Along with these, specific decisions have been
properly taken so that the entire project ends in a successful venture on project closure.

Communication: Communication with the team members are essential part of the
project to ensure the proper flow of information with all the members associated for the
completion of the project (Binder, 2016). Here, the researcher has chosen, email and phone as
the mode of communication.
Risk and Resources:
There are different variants of resources who are primarily involved within this
project such MS Excel which will be required for analysing the primary data (Kerzner, 2019).
Peer reviewed articles are the other resource associated with this paper. Further, Google
Online Survey Form will be used for collecting the primary data from the employees.
Every project is associated with various risks (Lock, 2017). Since the data is collected
through the primary sources and from the employees of Outblaze, there remains a scope of
biased information.

Appropriate research methodologies applied: Selection of appropriate research
methodology is essential for identifying the source of data collection. In this undertaken
research study, mixed method has been used. For the qualitative data the researcher has
focused on the interview with the manager of Outblaze (Young, 2016). On the other hand, for
the quantitative approach, online survey has been used. From the data identified from these
two sources the researcher has tried to evaluate the impact of Outblaze on the technological
advances at Hong Kong market.

Section B: Project findings, research and analysis
Task 2
2.1. Carry out small-scale research by applying qualitative and quantitative research
methods appropriate for meeting project aims and objectives (P4 and M2)
Quantitative research: Quantitative research has been by firstly carried out
interviewing 50 of the users that have been associated with Outblaze for quite a period of
time. The Likert Scale has been utilized while the responses from the users have been
recorded using the questions that have been prepared in the questionnaire. The Likert scale
has the primary inclusion of a number of responses that perfectly align to the generalised
mind-set of the probable answers that are generally expected (Hornstein, 2015). In addition to
this, the random probability method has been utilized for collecting the responses according
to the probable responses the employees must provide. Lastly, the participation of the users
within the research has been a voluntary act, where no single employee was compelled to
take part into the survey.
Qualitative Research: the qualitative research has been done by carrying out the
survey of all the higher level employees who have been working under Outblaze for a
specified time period and have again visibly foreseen the impact that Outblaze is about to
have upon the technological environment in accordance to the businesses working in Hong
Kong. Specifically in this research, the managers have been provided with a set of questions,
where they provided with suitable answers that have already been mentioned with the
utilization of the Likert scale. The managers have been completely voluntary regarding the
choice of being a part of the survey that is being carried out. Hence, as a matter of fact no
arbitrary data has been inputted and the random probability method has been particularly

used in order to gather the responses from all the managerial employees belonging to the
organization.
