The essay highlights the exploitation of natural resources, leading to environmental degradation, climate change, and increased health risks due to population density. The author agrees with the viewpoints presented in the articles, emphasizing the need for strategies such as birth control, education, and the eradication of discrimination to mitigate the adverse impacts. The essay concludes by stressing the importance of balancing human activities with environmental sustainability and calls for governmental and regulatory body actions to implement effective solutions and increase awareness among the population.

INTRODUCTION
Overpopulation is an emerging issue which is associated with increase in the number of
people residing at a place than its carrying capacity affecting the entire setting of the ecosystem.
It leads to various severe impacts as it exploits the natural resources due to which the balance
between various factors gets affected (Kelbaugh, 2019). This essay is based upon two articles
that discusses about the impact of overpopulation as well as various strategies that can be
implemented for eradicating the issue.
ESSAY
On the basis of the Articles it can be identified that the overpopulation has been emerging as
a major issue which has direct impact on the entire ecosystem. Due to this the quality of the life
of people is deteriorating day by day as the availability of the resources is not sufficient. It has
adverse impact the ecosystem setting because overpopulation leads to exploitation of the natural
resources (Madaan, 2016). This had various impacts on the climate as excess energy
consumption lead to increased pollution which contributed to the global warming. In addition to
this the problem of overpopulation has affected the water bodies and increased the chances of
various new pandemic and epidemics because the density in the population has reduced. Another
article talks about various strategies with the help of which the problems of overpopulation can
be met with. According to the author the birth control must be emphasis with the help of
enabling people to have easy access for contraceptives, increasing the level of education among
both the genders so that they can take better decisions mutually, the discrimination on the basis
of the gender in terms of economic opportunity, health and culture must be eradicated, prices
must be put on the environmental cost for both the individual as well as for the organisation,
imparting knowledge regarding the impact of overpopulation on the environment as well on the
life of the people and many more (Worldwatch Institute, 2012).
I agree to the view point of the both the authors as the overpopulation has direct impact
on the quality of the life of the people as it leads to the use of limited resources by more number
of people than it is available for. Due to this they have to compromise with their needs and it
compels them to exploit the natural resources. It not only affect the life of the people but also has
impact on the habitat because with the development of land, excessive agriculture etc. the flora
and fauna has to either shift to other place or they become extinct which has severe impact on the

ecosystem lifecycle. Due to overcome such issues various strategies as suggested by the authors
must be implemented by the respective regulatory bodies so that the impact can be reduced in
terms of reduced pollution, better quality of life with educated people and significant level of
awareness regarding the impact of their actions.
CONCLUSION
It is concluded from the above discussion that it is important to have balance among various
elements of the nature and to ensure this the utilisation of the resources must be done efficiently.
To ensure this awareness must be created among the people and various steps are to be taken by
the government and various regulatory bodies.
