INTRODUCTION
Overpopulation can be defined as the situation where number of people exceed in specific
area according to its size and scope of living standards. The cases related to overpopulation can
be seen mainly within Urban area. This particular essay will emphasise on overpopulation and
different strategies to stop short of billion.
MAIN BODY
In present scenario, it has been seen within the metro cities that population is increasing at a
rapid speed which is one of the major concern because it may create various issues. In context of
the give article, it can be easily agreed that overpopulation can create huge problem for the
nation or for the cities where population is increasing at a rapid speed.
The given first article says that overpopulation can create huge problem because setting of
ecological system can be affected from it. The first thing which is necessary to be understood is
that the main reason behind the increase of population in specific area is related with source of
earning available in urban area. But, on a daily basis, population is increasing which means that
job opportunity will decrease at a greater speed in this respective area and that may also lead into
higher unemployment ratio (Singh and et. al., 2019). In current situation, it has been also found
that unemployment increases the crime ratio and even there is higher possibilities that people
might have to suffer from number of problem. In short, it can be said that overpopulation in
urban area always creates higher percentage of problem for common people because scarcity in
available resources can be seen easily in it.
There is a second article which is on population strategies for the purpose of stopping short
of billion. It has been found that discrimination is one of the serious nature of problem which can
be seen in current scenario. So, in order to reduce the, it is necessary that education must be
provided where major focus should be given to girls and both sexes people should be given equal
rights. Even it is necessary that any of the law which bias between male and female then those
law must have amended because that may create issues. It is necessary because there are number
of people living in rural area where discrimination is mainly seen and that creates problem for
females due to which they want to shift to new place (Kaushik and et. al., 2017). But, if this
concept can be sorted out then people can easily settle themselves in rural area as well. In

addition, people do not have the knowledge about sex life so awareness program can be
conducted through which stabilization can be done within increase in population. This will
directly not allow to create problem within the urban area. Also, there will be less chances of
increasing the problem related to overpopulation in urban area.
CONCLUSION
From the above discussion, it can be concluded that overpopulation is one of the serious
topic in current scenario where government must think that how they can solve this particular
problem. Increase in population of specific place will increase the percentage of problem in
future period of time for the person.
