Report
AI Summary
This report addresses the significant issue of urban overpopulation, identifying its detrimental effects on the environment and human life. The report highlights key problems such as the depletion of natural resources, including fresh water and fossil fuels, leading to a decline in the quality of life and potential scarcity for future generations. It also discusses the contribution of overpopulation to global warming, emphasizing the increased energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions that exacerbate climate change, resulting in extreme weather events. The report proposes several solutions, including ensuring secondary education for all, particularly girls, to raise awareness and reduce birth rates; implementing environmental costs and penalties to discourage resource overuse; and ending policies that financially reward parents for having more children. These measures aim to conserve resources, promote sustainable practices, and mitigate the adverse impacts of overpopulation on both the environment and society.

One or two serios ones
It has been identified that overpopulation has become a major problem for entire world. it
is found that almost 81 million people are added in population in each year. There are many
regions where population density is very high. Human being require water, food, shelter, etc. to
live. It has been estimated by worldwatch institute that till 2050 there will be 9 billion population
in world. women who have studied less are having more children than those who have studied
till secondary education (What is overpopulation, 2020). It has been identified that there are
many problems of overpopulation which is defined as
Depletion of natural resource- It is most common problem of over population as natural
resources such as fresh water, fossil, land, etc. are being depleted. So, it has led to impact on
human life adversely. There is decline in human life quality as their needs are not fulfilled. The
depletion of non renewable resources in future can results in deplete future generation as well.
Global warming- overpopulation means more number of people and more vehicles. So, there will
be more use of energy in it. This will lead to rise in greenhouse gas and emission. Moreover,
carbon dioxide level will increase as well. It will result in global warming and bringing change in
climate. For example, it will result in extreme drought, high rise in temperature, flood, etc. that
will kill large number of people.
Ways to tackle problem
It is necessary to tackle the problem of overpopulation so that in future there is no such
issue being observed. So, it is responsibility of both government and individual to do so. Thus,
there are certain ways through which this problem can be tackled. It is as follows
Guarantee education through secondary school for all- in this girls can be educated so that they
are aware about this problem (Worldwatch: nine population strategies to stop short of 9 billion,
2012 ). It will allow them not to do more children as they will be literate. Besides that, education
will prevent them from getting married at early age. hence, in this way problem can be tackled
easily.
Put prices on environmental costs and impact- here, government can put huge cost and penalties
for impacting on environment. The prices can be imposed on unnecessary use of resources. Thus,
it will restrict use of natural resources and limiting its access. For that law and policy can be
formed and prepared.

End all policies that reward parents financially based on the number of children – the
government should end all policy in which financial aid is given to parents who are having more
than 2-3 children. So, it will give insight to other parents not to have more children. Thus, proper
law needs to be formed regarding it. Individual can also make them aware for it.
Thus, these are some ways through which overpopulation problem can be resolved. It
will benefit in conserving resources for future. Besides that, girls will get literate from this as
well.
