INTRODUCTION
Healthcare refers to the different types of methods and techniques which are used in
terms of ensuring that the optimum attention can be paid towards the health of the people which
will be quite helpful in ensuring that the people are able to become conscious towards health and
the disease which they are facing can be cured (Carman, Fray and Waterson, 2021). Thus, it is
important for the healthcare workers to make sure that they are able to treat people by using the
right methods and techniques. In this assignment, a detailed focus will be made on the
comparison and contrast of two articles which are related with Healthcare.
MAIN BODY
Article 1-
In the Article 1, the author discusses the possible impact of the Oxford Vaccine on the
health of the people. According to the author, some people are complaining about getting side-
effects after they have been given the vaccine (Chirico, Nucera and Magnavita, 2020). Therefore,
in this way it can be said that the people are getting doubts about making the use of this
particular vaccine. There have been some reports that after taking the vaccine some people have
reported the problem of blood clots which is therefore creating an impact on their health quite
seriously.
According to Ireland’s Deputy Chief Medical Officer Ronan Glynn there is no proof that
the people who have taken the vaccine have got blood clots. Thus, he is trying to convince the
public that they should get themselves jabbed so that they can get themselves protected against
the impact which is created by COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, it can be said that the
Government is trying at its best so that the public can be convinced to get the shot.
As per the article, the trials of the vaccine are comparatively quite small in size because
they are conducted on a smaller group of population and thus the results of the trial cannot be
termed to be accurate. Thus, as per the article it is not right to create a bad image of the vaccine
in the market and thus in this way it can be said that the people have to get themselves jabbed so
that they are able to contribute their bit in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic which has affected
so many countries all across the world (Cinar and et.al., 2020).
The article provides an opinion that so far these vaccines have proved themselves to be
safe. This is being said as per the testing which was done on some individuals and therefore in
this way it can be said that using these vaccines have not resulted in major side-effects on the
people. Only some people have shown smaller side-effects which are not very serious in nature.
Thus the aim of the article here is to convince the people that they should get themselves jabbed
in order to make themselves safe against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thus, In this way the article talks about the way the vaccines are completely safe for the
public except for some minor side-effects which have been seen on the population and therefore
in this way it can be said that the people are required to make sure that they get themselves
jabbed which will enable them to be able to stay protected against the COVID-19 disease. The
article aims to raise the awareness level among the people about the Oxford Vaccine and tries to
ensure that the people can be convinced that the blood clotting has been an issue for only some
people who have taken the vaccine. The efforts are also being made by the Government in which
it is managing to convince people to get them jabbed.
Article 2-
According to this Article, the Oxford Professor seeks to reassure the public that taking
the vaccine is completely safe despite the claims of people getting Blood Clots after taking the
vaccine (Delgado and et.al., 2020).
As per the Article, Professor Andrew Pollard who is the head of the Oxford University is
seeking to reassure the public that taking the vaccine is completely safe despite the claims that
there has been blood clotting among people after getting the jab. This action had to be taken
because several countries suspended the use of the Oxford Vaccine. In this way, it can be said
that the different countries have chosen to suspend the use of the vaccine due to doubts on its
credibility.
However, as per the Article, WHO, EMA and MHRA have stated that there is no
particular link between taking the jab and the increase in the risk of the blood clots among the
people. Therefore, in this way it can be stated that the use of the vaccine can be termed as
completely safe and this will be quite helpful in ensuring that the vaccine can be taken by the
people so that they are able to make themselves safe against the COVID-19 pandemic (Godlee,
2020).
According to Professor Pollard, there are about 3,000 cases of Blood Clots which occur
every month in UK due to different other causes. Therefore, it can be said that the Blood Clotting
issue in people is related with their other problems and thus it is not linked with taking the jab.
As per the Article, the Professor has stated that 11 million does have been given in UK
and there has been no increase in the cases of blood clots.
Therefore, the focus of the article shifts on the need for the people to get vaccinated so
that they are able to protect themselves from the COVID-19 disease. Many countries all around
the world are witnessing various waves of the disease and this has severely impacted them a lot.
Due to the influence of this particular disease, it has become highly necessary that the countries
start vaccinating their population at the earliest which will help them a lot in ensuring that they
are able to fight against this virus in a better manner (Gold, 2020).

Further, as per the article the number of clotting incidents which happened due to the
people taking the vaccine was quite smaller in number and therefore this was unlikely to create a
major impact on the vaccination drive which is going on in so many countries all across the
world.
The article states that to overcome the pandemic it is very important that the people are
able to get themselves vaccinated. This will be quite helpful in ensuring that they are protected
against the impact which is created by the COVID-19 disease. Further, this will help the
countries to slow down the spread of this virus. It is therefore the responsibility of the
government of the different countries that they are able to make sure that they raise the overall
awareness level of the people against the virus so that the appropriate steps can be taken to fight
the impact which is created by the virus (Greenber and et.al., 2020). Therefore, it can be stated
that it is very important that the citizens are able to make them aware about the way they can
fight the virus after getting themselves vaccinated which will help them in winning over the
virus. The confusions of the people about the vaccine are required to be cleared so that there are
no doubts among them and they can get themselves jabbed.
Comparison and Contrast-
As per both of the articles, there have been various misconceptions which have been
created against the vaccine which are influencing a lot of people.
The Article 1 talks about the anxiety of the people after the stories about some people
getting blood clots after getting the jab have been circulated. Therefore, in this manner it can be
said that the main focus of the article is that the people are required to make themselves aware
that the vaccines pose no risk to their health and it is important for them to get vaccinated in
order to protect themselves from this disease. Thus the article seeks to clear the misconceptions
which have been created about the vaccine.
The Article 2 focuses on ensuring that the reassurance can be given to the public that the
vaccine is completely safe and it is important that they are able to get themselves vaccinated.
Thus, the focus of this particular article is on the reassurance given by the Professor Andrew
Pollard who is the head of the Oxford University vaccine group that people can get themselves
jabbed as there are no adverse side-effects which are posed by the vaccine. The article thus seeks
to raise the awareness of the people.
Therefore, it can be summarized that both of the Articles are based on clearing the
misconceptions in the mind of the people about the Oxford Vaccine. Both of them put their focus
on giving assurance to the public on the safety of the vaccines.

CONCLUSION
From the above report, it can be concluded that Healthcare refers to the use of methods
and techniques through which the best treatment of the people can be ensured. The Comparison
and Contrast of articles related to Healthcare can be done so that the summary of both of these
articles can be obtained in the right manner.
