The website is about paraphilia, causes, treatment, and mental health. The website provides
detailed information regarding the paraphilia which refers to the abnormal sexual behaviors
shown by different people. The website also helped in evaluating the causes and the treatment for
this disease that general takes place in men. It also explained the different behaviors which are
considered as paraphilia.
To whom it applies
It applies to the person having a paraphilia. Paraphilias refer to the abnormal sexual behaviors
that may include unusual activities or conditions (Baur et al., 2016). Personal, social, and career
issues can be occurred due to paraphilias, and an individual with this problem may be known as
‘kinky.’
The sexuality issues are the following -
Fetishism – A person with fetishes behavior having sexual desires that linked with non-living
objects. By touching or wearing an object like underwear of women, shoes, rubber clothing,
lingerie, a fetishes person can become sexually provoked. The sexual activity may be replaced or
integrated by the fetish person with the willing partner. The sexual relationships are often
ignored when such person may become the sole object of sexual need. Partialism is a disorder
related with fetishes in which body part like buttocks shows arousing of sexual behavior.
Frotteurism – A person with this behavior or issue have sexual desire associated with touching as
well as rubbing of genitals against the unfamiliar person (Dawson, Bannerman & Lalumière,
2016). In this case, a male person generally rubs his genital portion against a female in the public
place.
Pedophilia – With pedophilia, the sexual urges of the individual consist of illegal sexual activity
with children. It involves undressing the child, forcefully performing sexual acts, encourage the
child to watch masturbate and touching the genitals of the child. These activities are considered
an offense and punishable by imprisonment.
Sexual masochism – In this behavior, an individual humiliated or beat the partner for achieving
sexual excitement. The person with masochism act out their fantasies and enjoy inflicting pain
on others. It involves activities like simulated rape, spanking, and bondage with a partner.

Individual who acted out in masochistic fantasy enjoy sexual excitement by humiliating or
abusing the partner.
Sexual sadism – Persons with sexual sadism have stubborn illusions of giving inflicting pains
like humiliation to partner for sexual excitement (Cold et al., 2019). It comprises of illegal
activities like torture, rape or murder. It is found in some cases that the person with sexual
sadism can find partners who willingly participate in the cruel activities. It is to be noted that
infliction of physical suffering is not the motive of the most rapists; instead, they aim to gain
power over the victim. Therefore, such individuals require intensive treatment or sent to jail for
imprisonment.

Paraphilia can be treated through therapy as well as counseling to help the individual in
modifying his behavior (Joyal & Carpentier, 2017). Medication is the vital process for the person
with paraphilia as it helps in reducing sexual imaginations or behavior of a person. The
physicians prescribe hormones for the persons who have experienced frequent occurrences of
abnormal sexual behavior in some of the cases. The treatment for paraphilia should be provided
on a long-term basis for long-term medication. A person needs to comply with the treatment;
otherwise, it can be a barrier in treating paraphilia.
