Self-reflection on the article
I have analyzed that research report is accompanied with the various information and
data which might be cumbersome for readers to understand. The Selectivity and distraction
elimination of information is one of the factors that were considered when translating the
journal in order to ascertain message efficiency. In order to create article, use of the
qualitative information is required which could directly convey the essence of the research
report. I found that article focuses mainly on selected factors to make it easier for the readers
to get the information they need (Welbourne & Grant, 2016). It was also important to ensure
that not all words and terms were simplified since this could change the context of the relayed
message. I have followed the process where I could possibly go for applicable sentences of
shorter length that could be used to strengthen, improving understanding, implying that
breaking information into considerable chunks can by a great deal increase readability of the
article (Bubela et al 2009). This also ensures that the relayed message identifies the key
points of the journal. Grammatical considerations is another factor to be considered, in order
to relay information that is easily understandable to the lay audience. This has greatly been
used by reducing grammatical complexity and ensuring construction of meaningful
sentences. I have found that specific word choice implying that conversational words were
considered for the writing since they are clear and lend themselves better than multi-syllabic
words (Bauer, 2008). This was mainly done by reducing the scientific jargon to improve on
understanding of content by the lay audience. In addition to this, I analyzed that i could use
the technical language in most cases exhibits/inflates empty content to the lay audience. I
have avoided the use of the abstract and lengthy words in order to improve on the precision
of the relayed message (Bernard, Wutich, & Ryan, 2016). I have mostly focus on avoiding
the use of abstract, foreign, multi-syllabic and technical words helps in improving reading
comprehension. I have used where applicable technical terms without formal definition in
order to avoid relaying of complicated information by use of even harder to understand word.

This had allowed me to shorten the long sentences. It was important to always relay the
information in a captivating form in order to cultivate human interest on the topic. These
factors are considered in order to relay a complex message in a less sophisticated way to the
lay audience (Palinkas, et al. 2015).
The medium used to translate the journal was writing an article which can serve as a
useful information source to the lay audience, serving as a primary source of information.
This has helped in relaying of the scientific information in a simpler way to the lay audience
thus improving their understanding to the topic in discussion. I have also used this medium to
ensure easy accessibility of the scientific research to the lay audience. It also helps in
increasing linkages, by creating a direct pathway between the scientific research and the lay
audience proving that the article is a user-friendly way of relying information (Bernard,
Wutich, & Ryan, 2016). This helps in focusing on information readers need in view of
making their judgements. I have used the article to present the most useful information
upfront thus satisfying reader curiosity. I consider that use of articles improve on readability
by breaking down complex scientific research information to a form that is easily
understandable to the layman. The article goes to a great extent to describe a newsworthy
aspect in the research in order to attract readers. It also ensures that the research major points
are clearly described giving readers a good idea in relation to the remaining content (Smith,
2015). The article can also be referred to on a later research since it acts by depicting a
precise overview of the topic in concern. The prepared article helps in identifying the key
points of a research stating effects of a research directly to the audience its addressing. The
use of plain language ensures that an article is understandable and only says the words it
needs to say being precise. Articles ensure that relayed information does not offer
contradicting information in regard to the original journal. The whole point of written articles
is its ability to provide written concise communication and simple information to improve

ensuring authenticity of the information. This also helps children and parents to understand
their relation with each and its impact on the child undertaken work (Glesne, 2015).
The research article prepared on the child parent effects which allows readers to
evaluate the parent-child effect. This can be viewed as a way of contextualizing research in

that if we are going to make research article we should focus on the main key points of the
research report then only we could go further to make the article. The prepared journal article
should be short and reflective which could convey the required meaning and information to
the readers in effective way.
