Part A
The state of being socially, emotionally, and mentally sound is quite important for
human health or wellbeing. Children should never be left lonely since loneliness can deteriorate
their mental and emotional health. It is important to note that a child’s growth and development
entirely depend on social and emotional skills which are primarily gotten through the mother’s
interaction with him or her. For instance, in Ellie’s case, she will not be spending time with her
mother because the mother will be at work. Ellie is still young and should be nurtured by the
mother at her current age of six months. Lack of parental care would make Ellie not get
emotional support from the mother. According to Huang et al. (2014 p. 266), lack of parental
support can negatively impact the health of a child resulting in behavior changes, for example,
becoming dull. In the same token, the child can feel that he or she has been separated from the
parent, therefore, leading to anxiety.
Parents should pay much attention to their babies to ensure sound psychosocial
development. Mother-to-child association or interaction especially eye contact is quite important
for a baby’s development at her or his tender age. It is vital to note that children use different
mechanisms to maintain social interaction including body movement, eye contact, and facial
expression, and these can only manifest themselves well through mother-to-child association
(Biro et al., 2014 p. 263). Lack of the aforementioned from the mother can adversely affect the
child’s behavior and moods. The mothers have to give full attention to the babies and breastfeed
them as required biologically and underlined by the nursing practice. According to Biro et al.
(2014 p. 263) breastfeeding helps in strengthening the bond between a baby and the mother. It is
important to acknowledge that when Ellie’s mother would spend most of her time at work, the

child would not receive appropriate breastfed and this can result in increased risks of necrotizing
enterocolitis.
Psychologists and scientists through studies have established that mother’s affection and
warmth always conveyed by mothers lead to a life-long outcome for babies. Such positive
outcomes include better academic performance, higher self-esteem, and fewer behavioral and
psychological menaces (Scola, Bourjade & Jover, 2015 p.28256). Furthermore, social
interaction also plays an inquisitive role in learning the phonetic language. It is important to note
that when a child interacts with the mother, his or her audio presentation also gets boosted. In
this regards, it is important to note that mother-to-interaction is important for a child’s growth
and development. In summary, parents such as Raffaela should give much attention to the
children during their early stages to combat adverse behaviors such anxiety and dullness which
might be exhibited by the children due to loneliness. Raffaela should prefer giving more
attention to Ellie to boost her psychosocial development. She should consider resuming work
after Ellie shall have attained a school-age.
Part B
Research plays a significant role in the learning process. The main aim of a research is to
help in finding answers to particular questions and find the correct solutions to the core issues in
a particular setting, for instance, healthcare. It involves assessing peer-reviewed literature,
journals, and websites as well as healthcare books. The research also involved conducting
interviews with medical practitioners to assess the importance of parentage attention. It is
important to note that my research process was very effective in helping to understand and
comprehend the findings. I narrowed down the research topic to ‘Impact of Parentage Attention
in Regards to Psychosocial Development’ to help in getting specific information which can

interest the readers and to come with effective information in regards to the topic. The research
process was quite elaborate and substantive. First, I took part in collecting or obtaining
information from the journals, books, interviews, and peer-reviewed literature. In a similar note,
the second part encompassed interpretation, analysis, and synthesis of the information to get the
desired and appropriate or relevant data.
Finding quality references was encompassed with a range of strategies. The most
effective in thing in finding quality references involved accessing the author’s credentials as well
as the legitimacy of the journals. In this regards, I considered some of the reputable and sound
authors such as Biro who have sound credentials in regards to health care and health of human
beings. I also considered the content, the primary as well as the secondary nature of the articles
to ascertain their validity and reliability. In the same token, I considered using current references
of less than five years old.
As an aftermath of conducting the research, I learned many strategies which would assist
me in conducting my future studies or research. First, it is vital to keep the research questions
descriptive and simple by using as few terminologies as possible and shun of natural language
questions because they can limit the study’s outcome or results (Seibert et al., 2017 p. 1108).
Secondly, I learned that it is important to include an abstract as well as outline the keywords to
enable the readers to have a clue of what is contained in the research. Thirdly, I learned how to
employ quantitative research design. It allows a researcher to plan the research process prior to
the commencement of the research. Lastly, I got to know the importance of research ethics. The
ethical standards will allow me to conduct a proper study in the future; a study free of
discrimination and bias and take into account individual’s confidentiality.
